Overrun in ice cream, it is the % increase in volume of ice cream greater than the amount of mix used to produce that ice cream, because injection of air bubbles during freezing due to ice formation and the spread of defined volume. 40-50% of the case is a suitable overrun for frozen yogurt. The organization is determined by the size of ice particles, the size of bubble and its distribution and the size of the particles not frozen in the frozen yogurt. The experimental results of characteristics of the overrun were summarized by changes in environmental factors in the process of producing frozen yogurt, such as temperatures and mixing rate of producing materials and air.

The solenoid valve which was used in fuel cell system needs good performance on sealing because the work fluid can be exploded in the system. And the temperature of work fluid is extremely high to keep the property of rubber ring that seals the solenoid valve. This study deals with the rubber ring that is made by fluoro elastomers. The life cycle of rubber ring was estimated by relational expression of Arrhenius. And the solenoid valve was tested to confirm the sealing characteristic.

In this paper, the energy harvesting technique using smart material is discussed. This paper deals with the piezoelectric property of a actuator using the dielectric elastomer which is a kind of the electroactive polymer(EAP). The dielectric elastomer actuators are fabricated using VHB4905 film and conductive carbon grease, and the fabricated actuators are 80[㎜] × 80[㎜] × 0.023[㎜], 80[㎜] × 80[㎜] × 0.035[㎜] and 80[㎜] × 80[㎜] × 0.05[㎜], respectably. To confirm the piezo effects of the fabricated actuators, the experiment knocking constant force in the actuator was conducted. From the experimental results, it was confirmed that the higher voltage from the more thickness is gotten. And the possibility of the energy harvesting system using EAP actuator was suggested.

This paper presents the proportional solenoid actuator which is used for the hydraulic and pneumatic valve, and this valve also controls the flow, pressure and direction of the fluid. The proportional solenoid actuator has a cone for control the attraction force which is only proportional to the input current. Therefore, the optimal design of the control cone is very important design step. In this study, the prototype proportional solenoid actuators of 5 sets were designed and manufactured. The cone angles of manufactured proportional solenoid actuators are 35°, 40°, 45°, 50° and 55°, respectably. And the attraction force performances of the manufactured prototype were experimented. From the experimental results, it was confirmed that the proportional solenoid actuator with a cone angle of 55° and under the condition of 300㎐ has a superior performance ㎐ than others.

This paper deals with a piezoelectric actuator for grain sorter. The grain sorter is a kind of separator which separates the foreign body from the grain, and that consists of a feeder, a shoot, a sensor with a lamp and an ejector. The ejector also consists of a nozzle and a pneumatic valve with a solenoid actuator. The solenoid actuator is very useful for grain sorter because of fast response characteristics and high reliability, but the attraction force of this actuator is affected by environmental temperature and self-excited one. The drop off in attraction force in a grain sorter is a very core parameter for user or consumer because the grain sorter is used at the tropical and temperate regions. High power consumption also leads more and more energy consumption to use the grain sorter. In this study, a new mechanism with an ejector with a piezoelectric actuator is suggested and manufactured. and the frequency characteristics of a manufactured actuator are discussed.

This paper deals with a Poly(arylene ether sulfone)copolymer which is a kind of component of the Fuel Cell and is a key element of the PEMFC. 3,3′-Sulfonated-4,4′dichlorodiphenyl sulfone (SDCDPS) is composited by 4, 4′-Dichlorodiphenyl sulfone (DCDPS) and Fuming sulfuric acid whose ratio is 1 : 3.3 and is derived from Elec trophilic Sulfonation. Also, purified 3,3′-Sulfonated-4,4′-dichlorodiphenyl sulfone (SDCDPS) is gotten by recrystallization procedure of Isopropanol-H2O. Sulfonated Poly(arylene ether sulfone) (SPAES) is synthesiszed from 3,3′-Sulfonated-4,4′-dichlorodiphenyl sulfone (SDCDPS), 4,4′-Dichlorodiphenyl sulfone (DCDPS) and 4,4′ -Biphenol, and is called Aromatic Substituton and Condensation Polymerization. Poly(arylene ether sulfone) copolymer which has a very high viscosity is synthesised through direct polymerization using Potassium carbonate to catalyst. The result of synthesis are confirmed by methods such as FT-IR Spectrum and 1H-NMR Spectrum.

An air source heat pump using non-azeotropic refrigerant mixture has been simulated to examine the performance characteristics according to design parameters. The simulation method has been validated by comparing the results with the published data of a maker. The effects of design parameters, such as condenser, air flow rate, compressor efficiency and refrigerant mixture ratio, on the performance of heat pump system using the fixed displacement volume compressor are investigated in detail. Compressor efficiency and refrigerant mixture ratio are very important design parameters to get the sufficient heating capacity and high EER. Liquid injection rate with appropriate injection pressure is recommended to get moderate discharge refrigerant temperature when the heat pump is operated at very low outdoor temperature condition.
