Power plant piping and pipe support/hanger failures cause forced outages at log time operation power plants. To prevent the power piping and support/hanger, piping systems surveillance program designed to evaluate existing piping installations will be helpful plant managing tools. These piping surveillance program is composed as piping displacement monitoring, Hot and cold walk-downs, hanger/support performance test, piping stress evaluation, etc. In most power plants, piping displacement monitoring devices are installed to each hanger. In this paper, optimization of power plant piping systems using reduced piping displacement monitoring devices are described.

To reduce the maintenance costs and get the economical man power rate regarding the power plant piping valve, flat sealing faces is required for the perfect valve seals. If this area is damaged, the flow control of the power piping systems reaches really hard condition. Finally the plant economics get troubles. For the quick and uncomplicated repair, portable valve grinding and lapping machines was developed. it can be used on site where the valve are located as in-situ. Using portable mechanism - stand-alone stationary machine - it is not necessary to remove the valve from the plant which contributes to an effective reduction in maintenance costs and thus the costs of outages. The machine has the functions, such as quickly change grinding disks and adjusting the grind pressure.

The performance diagnostics regarding power plant piping - valve and hanger/support, detects and advises the plant manager how to inspect, correct conditions that could lead to piping systems failure, such as valve or hanger failure, to prevent the unplanned shutdowns and get the planned long time operation. To support in-plant technical managers in controlling routine inspection and repairs on plant piping systems, motor operated and air operated, hydro operted valve diagonic systems are introduced. For the hanger/support systems, hydro controlled performance technologies are introduced.
