Design sensitivity analysis of a mechanical system is an essential tool for design optimization and trade-off studies. This paper presents an efficient algorithm for the design sensitivity analysis of railway vehicle systems, using the direct differentiation method. The cartesian coordinate is employed as the generalized coordinate. The governing equations of the design sensitivity analysis are formulated as the differential equations. Design sensitivity analysis of railway vehicle systems is performed to show the validity and efficiency of the proposed method.
스파크 플라즈마 소결에 의한 구조 세라믹스의 최근 연구동향

Recently the spark plasma sintering(SPS) have been developed for fabrication of metal, ceramics and composites. It is similar to conventional hot pressing, in that it is carried out in a graphite die, but the heating is by means of direct current of about 1000 to 8000A, pulsed by a power generator, applied through electrodes at the top and bottom of the die punch. The powders are heated initially by spark discharge between the particles. The SPS method was found that structural ceramics with excellent mechanical properties could be obtained at lower sintering temperatures and in shorter holding times, compared with hot pressing and hot isostatic pressing. This paper reports as a resent development in structural ceramics by SPS.
