역사계 박물관의 내러티브 구조분석에 관한 연구 -해외 사례를 중심으로-

(Background and Purpose)As economic, social, and cultural trends developed rapidly in the 21st century, the level of economic, cultural, and social life improved very much, and therefore, the Museum of History should transform itself into a space for communicating various values, feelings, experiences, life, etc. rather than a space for creating expression in a simple form that contains past stories in an exhibition space. Such spaces should also be a space where we can create goals for our human lives in the future through the lives and stories of the past and present. Narratives can be used in history museums to express the past through text. A clear framework should be established for how the concepts and forms of exhibition from various semantic receptors will be communicated to the viewer and how various stories will be communicated. Therefore, the history museum should reinterpret various information presented to the viewer according to the purpose and intention of the exhibition planner, and analyze the need for a form of education that is easy for viewers to understand and approach through narratives and display structures. (Method) The research methods of this study were analyzed to target foreign history museums whose themes clearly show the narrative narratives and concepts. The methods of the investigation were to conduct the structural analysis of narratives according to narratives and exhibition organization. Through the survey, various expert opinions were reflected and the structure of exhibition spaces were analyzed based on the drawings of the museum.(Results)An analysis of overseas history museums showed that the narratives of the epic structure system were being used, and what was described as chronicle story structures could be analyzed using these characteristics. Also, as can be seen from the analysis results, narratives of historical museums in overseas cases are composed of linear structures, which clearly express the structure of time flow from the beginning to the end of the exhibition, and the expression of time, causality, and form, which is the characteristic of narratives, could be shown by analyzing them.(Conclusions)This study was conducted for the analysis of overseas history museums with clear narratives and concepts. In the future, the organization, role, type, and spatial composition of exhibition narratives in the establishment or planning of domestic history museums, I wanted to understand the type of history museums, the narratives, the characteristics of expression, and propose the rational structure of the history museums through case analysis, and efficient operation of education for visitors.
