여대생의 내현적 자기애가 폭식행동에 미치는 영향 : - 외모에 대한 사회문화적 태도의 매개효과 -

본 연구에서는 여대생의 내현적 자기애가 폭식행동에 미치는 영향을 살펴보고, 이 과정에서 외모에 대한 사회문화적 태도가 매개변인의 역할을 하는지 검증하였다. 이를 위해 부산에 소재하는 5개 대학교에 재학 중인 여대생을 대상으로 설문을 실시하여, 총 356부를 분석에 사용하였다. 측정도구로는 폭식행동 척도(BULIT-R), 내현적 자기애 척도(CNS), 외모에 대한 사회문화적 태도 척도(SATAQ)를 사용하였다. 본 연구의 목적을 달성하기 위해 SPSS 22.0과 AMOS 22.0을 사용하여 기술통계분석과 Pearson 상관분석, 측정모형의 확인적 요인, 구조모형 분석, 부트스트 래핑으로 분석하였다. 본 연구의 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 여대생의 폭식행동과 내현적 자기애, 외모에 대한 사회문화적 태도의 관계에서 모든 변인 간에 통계적으로 유의미한 정적 상관이 나타났다. 둘째, 여대생의 내현적 자기애가 폭식행동에 미치는 영향에서 외모에 대한 사회문화적 태도가 부분 매개하는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구는 여대생의 내현적 자기애가 폭식행동에 미치는 영향에서 외모에 대한 사회문화적 태도가 매개변인의 역할을 한다는 것을 밝힘으로써 내현적 자기애자의 심리적 특성을 이해하고 상담자의 치료적 개입과 프로그램 개발에 있어서 시사점을 제공하였고, 제한점과 후속 연구의 필요성을 제안하였다. The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of covert narcissism on binge eating behavior of female university students and to examine whether sociocultural attitudes towards appearance, which was an environmental variable, play a role in mediating variables. For this purpose, questionnaire research was administered to female university students attending five universities in Busan, and a total of 356 copies were used for the analysis. The Bulimia Test Revised(BULIT-R), the Covert Narcissistic Scale(CNS), and the Sociocultural Attitudes towards Appearance Questionnaire(SATAQ) were used as the measurement tools. To achieve the purpose of this study, statistical analysis was performed using reliability analysis, mean, standard deviation, Pearson correlation analysis, structural equation modeling analysis, and bootstrapping using SPSS 22.0. and AMOS 22.0. The results of this study were summarized as follows. First, there was statistically significant correlation between all the variables in the relationship between binge eating behavior, covert narcissism and sociocultural attitudes towards appearance of female university students. Second, the effect of covert narcissism on binge eating behavior in female university students was found to be partial mediated by sociocultural attitudes towards appearance. This study demonstrated the role of sociocultural attitude toward appearance as a mediating variable in the impact of covert narcissism on binge eating behavior in female college students, thus understanding psychological characteristics of covert narcissist and providing implications for therapeutic intervention and program development by counselors. The implications of the study were discussed based on this study result, and the limitation and the necessity of follow-up study were suggested.
