LRT (Light Rail Transit) is one of the transport modes to reduce heavy traffic in big cities and intercity. LRT line is considered to be easily linked with other transport system. The importance of new LRT lines has recently emerged as the problems solution in Korea. Thus, in this study, the turnout for AGT (Automated Guideway Transit) by computer system has been developed. And Guideway for AGT has also been developed for installation on the LRT line as well. In future, if the results of the feasibility study show the new LRT line project is viable, Kangwon Railtech shall propose design for LRT turnout, development, standardized design for guideway, and construction scheme.

LRT(Light Rail Transit System) is devided into steel-wheel train, LIM and rubber tired AGT(Automated Guide-way Transit System). The main features of LRT are low construction cost, low space, low noise, Environment-friendly, fastly, low maintenance cost. it"s a civil transit transfer system of new generation became popular advanced nation. In this study, the beginning designed manufactureing rubber tired AGT turnout and guide-way system for the field application. We hope reliability for the system shall home production of turnout and guide-way.

In reference to conventional line speed-up and improvement railway, accurate assembly of turnout affects traveling quality of turnout area and running safety. Because of heavy weight and a large volume of the long sleepers and car limit, transport and construction of the P.C(prestress concrete) sleeper turnout is the most difficult process. the prerequisite for trouble-free transport of the factory pre-assembled major turnout components is achieved through division of long sleepers. So, in this paper we investigate structural safety of segmented sleeper which is adopted for the first time to improve performance of turnout and, new construction method.
