Domestic air traffic in China will become the world’s busiest within 10 years and it is foreseen that China will overtake the United States of America in 2023 in terms of the number of passengers and in 2027, in terms of RPK (Revenue Passenger Kilometer). In the next 20 years, the estimated average annual growth rate for the Chinese domestic market is 7.1 percent but this will grow even faster over the next 10 years to 8.3 percent on average per year. As for the incumbent mega carriers having grandfather rights on the existing routes between Korea and China, Korean full service carriers (FSC) might be afraid of expanding in current open skies stage with the neighboring country having a huge aviation market. In the long run, however, it will help Korean flag carriers be more competitive and also, this is a strategic step they should take in advance of the future Korea-China-Japan open skies agreements as well as the expected ASEAN Single Aviation Market in 2015 . Like the trans-Tasman routes between Australia and New Zealand or the trans-Atlantic routes between EU and the U.S., we should aggressively develop the trans-Yellow route between Korea and China.

Africa should be recognized as a new cooperation partner for the 21st century, no longer as a 'continent in crisis.' African countries still remain an underdeveloped niche in the global market, and we need to pay attention to their massive potential. Though the initial motivation came from natural resources, China has not limited itself in Africa, becoming active in all sectors from infrastructure to small-scale retail. Chinese presence in Africa increases its development needs and renewed growth, however African believe Chinese activities have caused friction and new colonial powers between Chinese people and African. Korea should develop its own development model, which selects certain countries and intensively supports those countries. By concentrating on certain recipients, we could offer systematic support based on long-term plans.

Objectives: This study analyzes how financial issues - major causes of conflicts within families-affect depression of individuals, and tests the intermediary effects of self-esteem and physical health between the financial issues and depression. For the analysis, this study uses part of the general household member data, which is included in the `Prevalence of conflicts and social pathologies at individual level and counter measures in Korea` conducted by the Korea Institute for Health and Social Affairs (KIHASA), as secondary data. Methods: We used multiple-group structural model to test the effects of family conflict, self-esteem, and physical health on the depression. The findings of this study can be summarized as follows. Financial issues were the major factor that increased depression caused by family conflicts. Also, family conflicts arising by financial issues significantly reduced self-esteem. Self-esteem have a greater negative correlation than physical health on depression. In addition, family conflicts affected depression, self-esteem, and physical health among groups of different ages, sexes, and income levels by the multiple-group structural model analysis. Results: This test analyzes the significance and direction of the indirect effect exerted by self-esteem and physical health on depression caused by family conflicts. The higher a person`s sense of self-esteem and the healthier a person is, the less severe his or her depression will be. The control variables, such as age, sex, income, also exert partial intermediary effects. Conclusions: Most importantly, society as a whole needs to care more about women and the elderly who are prone to depression associated with family conflicts, and policymakers must make available a broader range of mental health services that cater to the particular needs and characteristics of women and the elderly.
