        인문학과 정치학

        어떤 사회이든지 공동기획이라는 의미를 가지는 사업을 어느 정도는 수행해야 한다. 이를 위해서는 진실을 확인하는 역량이 필수적이다. 진실을 확인하는 역량을 시민들이 어느 정도로 보유하느냐에 따라 공동체의 깊이가 좌우된다. 특히 프레임의 존재에 대한 비판적 인식, 진실을 발굴할 가치가 어느 정도인지를 분별하는 균형감각, 그리고 권력과 진실이 현실에서 결부될 수밖에 없지만 양자를 개념적으로 구분하는 능력 등이 중요하다. 이러한 능력을 사회적으로 배양하는 주역은 인문학의 몫이다. 인문학은 한편으로 외부적 영향에 휘둘리지 않고 주제의 진상에만 집중하는 임무와 동시에, 언어공동체의 일원으로서 공동체 안에서 실존적인 위치를 설정해야 하는 임무를 지닌다. 이 때문에 사회연구는 과학보다는 인문학에 속한다. 사회를 연구한다는 것은 인간을 이해하는 것이며, 인간을 이해하기 위해 서는 인간이 사용하는 언어를 이해하지 않으면 안 되기 때문이다. 인간의 행태에 관한 연구자의 서술을 행위 당사자들이 이해할 수 있느냐는 문제가 과학에서는 불필요한 반면에 사회연구에서는 필수적인 고려사항이다. 정치학은 인문학적 소양을 바탕으로 삼을 때에 정치학 본연의 임무를 더 잘 수행할 수 있다. Every society has to perform some form of project in the name of community from time to time. And truth matters, at the least, as to whether the project is indeed to the interest of the community. The societal capability to find truth when it matters regarding the common project signals the depth of commonality of a society. This paper stresses three points in terms of which the truth-finding capability can be developed in individual minds: critical understaning of grammatical frames in which our language make sense, a certain sense of balance to discern when it is worthwhile to dig into the truth of the matter and how far, and conceptual clarity to distinguish between voices of truth and power contained in every statement one happens to come across. Developing this capability is one of the main tasks of intellectual pursuits called humanities. The role in human societies of humanities is to elaborate, on the one hand, the outlook from which truths of whatever matters are put in view independently of external and irrelevant influences, and, on the other, the perspective in which the student sees where he or she stands in relation to the linguistic community he or she belongs to. Here arises the point as a corollary that political studies are characteristically closer to humanities than to sciences. To study societies is to study human beings, and to study them in their languages. Descriptions of human behavior ought to pass the test what sense the actors make of them, whereas it is simply irrelevant to ask what sense the subjects whose behavior is described by scientists make of the descriptions. Political studies is more like to hit close the mark when it proceeds as a form of human studies.

        연속섬유 시트의 부착에 의한 피복 콘크리트의 박락(剝落) 방지 효과에 관한 연구

        There are a lot of reports about the cover concrete falling by the reinforcement bar corrosion which is generated by deterioration factors, such as, CO₂, chloride ion, sulfuric acid etc. through the cover concrete and crack of it. This study is about one of the reinforcement methods, continuous fiber sheet method, adapted to degraded RC structures. The performance of Dry Type Vinylon Sheet Method and Dry Type Composite Method which take relatively short time and are cheap to practice was evaluated by tensile test, tensile-shear test and push out test. The performances were compared with the existing Wet Type Vinylon Sheet Method. The predictive model based on the elastic dynamic was proposed. Weatherability of continuous fiber sheet methods was verified by the accelerated deterioration test.

        건축 외장용 도막의 콘크리트 탄산화 억제효과에 관한 연구

        Diffusion-Reaction Carbonation Model on the base of FEM was developed to predict the carbonation depth of the paint coated concrete structure. The diffusion and solubility coefficient of the coated film used in this study were estimated by the differential pressure-CO₂ permeability device. The Diffusion-Reaction Carbonation Model constructed in this study was validated by the accelerated carbonation test using concrete specimens applied with organic coats. The CO₂ diffusion coefficient of acrylate was the highest, followed by epoxy, polyurethane, polyvinyl chloride in this study. Effects of the degradation and the number of coatings have also been analytically examined.

        외장 타일 마감재의 수분이동차단성 및 흡수 응력발생에 관한 연구

        The objectives of this study were to evaluate the water transport resistance of exterior tile finishing based on experiments and the results of the experiments and to examine its performance of concrete structure protection and its behavior in moisture absorption environment, and ultimately, to establish a system for preventing the peeling and exfoliation of exterior tile finishing. We predicted the distribution of absorbed water diffusivity and change in stress development over time using finite factor analysis in connection to the absorption volume change rate and mechanical properties of exterior tile finish materials and concrete structures with the same mixing conditions. In order prevent the peeling and exfoliation of exterior tile finishing, we need to collect and analyze more accurate data on the mechanical properties of the materials of exterior tile finishing and bond strength among the materials, to formulate models through analyzing the data, to predict stress or deformation in real conditions using the models, and to develop measures in response to expected problems.

        이산화탄소 증가의 환경영향을 고려한 콘크리트 중성화에 관한 연구

        To estimate the compatibility of concrete cover criterion, the change of carbonation depth was calculated by FEM model considering the effect of carbon dioxide increase of the earth which is from SRES(Special Report on Emission Scenario) published by ICCP. The period of carbonation calculation is from 2000 to 2100. The difference of carbonation depth between A1F1 scenario which is the severest among the SRES scenario and constant carbon dioxide concentration(369ppm) for 100 years is 0.0042m. The smaller difference than the result we expected is attributed to concrete pore decrement and the diffusion of calcium hydrate which is cement hydration product. The difference by water cement ratio is also small because of the increment of calcium hydrate according to the change of the amount of unit cement.

        한국 민주주의의 개념과 현실

        한국의 현대 정치사에서 민주주의라는 단어는 주로 모종의 정치적 이상을 가리키는 의미로 사용되어 왔다. 독재가 아닌 정치를 지향하는 소극적인 의미는 한국인의 정치의식에서 분명하게 공유되었지만, 대의, 부패의 제거, 법치, 사회적 의사소통, 양극화의 해소 등과 같은 실질적 정책현안들에 관하여 민주주의라는 것이 어떤 의미를 가지느냐고 하는 적극적인 방향의 관심은 발전하지 못하였다. 이 때문에 현재 일각에서 벌어지고 있는 민주주의 공고화 담론이 현실에 대한 적실성을 가지지 못한다. 독재의 우려가 불식된 현재의 한국 사회에서는 민주주의를 일단 하나의 특정한 정치제도로 이해할 필요가 있고, 절차적 민주주의에 내재하는 수많은 “문제점”들에 관한 논의들은 민주주의의 문제로 뭉뚱그려 논하기 보다는 각각의 세부주제로 논하는 것이 정치적 의사의 결집을 위해 도움이 될 것이다. The term of “democracy" has been used to designate a certain political ideal in modern Korean political history. While the negative sense of democracy as something in opposition to dictatorship has been widely shared in Korean political consciousness, it has been rarely asked and discussed what democracy should have to do positively with such practical policy agenda as representative government, management of class polarization, the rule of law, social communication, etc. Hence, discourses around so called “democratic consolidation” do not seem to be sufficiently relevant to the way in which Korean political society find and deal with its own problems. This paper suggests that democracy had better be understood minimally as a certain form of proceduralistic organization of society in the present Korea where any fear of dictatorship is practically needless, and that each of all the problems which could be posed to exist in an only procedurally democratic society should be taken separately on its own rather than as a part of the over-arching problem of democratization.

        실내 이산화탄소 농도 측정 및 편차에 따른 콘크리트 탄산화 깊이 예측에 관한 해석적 연구

        Carbon dioxide in atmosphere causes concrete carbonation which is the phenomenon, that is, the pH of concrete goes down from 12-13 to 8.85-10. Even though the carbon dioxide concentration of indoor is higher than that of outdoor, the micro measurement has not carried out. The concentration test was conducted three times in two rooms in a residential area, reading room in library, and lecture room. With all the deviation for each unit, the measured average value was 463.1~1425.3(ppm) which is more than three times than that of outdoor at the most. Without surface finishings in FEM calculation, the depth of carbonation is up to 4(㎝). At the same time, the FEM calculation considering surface finishings. Any carbonation did not appeared because of the assumption, that is, surface finishings did not deteriorate.
