This study has been conducted to examine the effects of traditional fairy tale applied activities focused on young children`s creativity. For this, the researchers carried out traditional fairy tale activities and subsequent creativity test to 53 five-year-old children attending daycare centers in Mapo gu and Yongsan gu, Seoul. For the analysis of the results of the study, Cronbach`s a reliability, means and standard errors, t-test, pairedt-test, covariate analysis were performed. As a result of the study, the traditional fairy tale activities showed significant differences in the young children`s creativity level. Moreover, the nursery tale applied activities were found to be effective for such sub factors of creativity such as fluency, originality, and elaboration. Also the paired t-test revealed positively significant positive effects for fluency, originality, abstractness of titles, creative strengths etc.
