한국과 중국 국민의 정치문화 비교: 정치적 태도의 분석

본 논문은 아시아바로미터 설문조사 자료를 사용하여 한국과 중국 국민의 정치적 태도를 분석했다. 분석 결과는 다음과 같이 요약할 수 있다. 첫째, 정치 관심도에 대하여 한국과 중국 국민은 비슷한 모습을 보였다. 두 국가의 국민 모두 정치 관심도는 높지 않았다. 둘째, 정치 효능감은 서로 다른 모습을 보였다. 한국 국민은 내적 정치 효능감이 외적 정치 효능감보다 높았고, 중국 국민은 외적 정치 효능감이 내적 정치 효능감보다 높았다. 셋째, 제도에 대한 신뢰도를 비교하였다. 제도에 대하여 한국 국민은 낮은 신뢰를 표현한 반면 중국 국민은 높은 신뢰를 나타냈다. 중국 국민은 일부 제도에 대하여 매우 높은 신뢰를 표현했다. 넷째, 한국과 중국의 정치 참여도에 대하여 분석했다. 선거에서 투표한 경험이 있다고 응답한 비율을 비교하는 경우 한국 국민이 중국 국민보다 높았다. 마지막으로 한국과 중국 국민의 민주주의에 대한 지지를 분석했다. 민주주의 체제로 분류되는 한국에서 국민은 민주주의에 대하여 낮은 지지를 보여줬다. 반면 민주주의 국가로 분류되지 않는 중국에서 절반 이상의 국민은 민주주의 정치체제를 지지한다고 응답했다. By utilizing the Asian Barometer survey, this study analyzed the political attitudes of Korean and Chinese citizens. The results of the analysis can be summarized as follows: First, Korean and Chinese citizens showed similarities in political interest. Neither Korean not Chinese citizens had high political interest. Second, political efficacy was different. Korean citizens had higher internal political efficacy than external political efficacy while Chinese citizens had higher external political efficacy than internal political efficacy. Third, this study compared the trust in various institutions. It revealed that Korean citizens expressed low trust in institutions while Chinese citizens expressed high trust in them. Chinese citizens" trust in some institutions expressed was very high. Fourth, this study analyzed the political participation of ordinary citizens in Korea and China. Korean citizens were higher than Chinese citizens when comparing the percentage of respondents who answered they had voted in election. Finally, it analyzed the popular support for democracy between two countries. In Korea, classified as a democratic society, citizens showed the low support for democracy. By contrast, in China, which is not classified as a democratic state, a majority of citizens showed that they support a democracy.
