캄보디아 초등교사양성제도의 최근 개혁 동향과 교육구성원의 인식 분석

본 연구는 캄보디아 초등교사양성제도의 최근 개혁 동향을 분석하고 변화에 대한 교육구성원들과의 면담을 통해 개선방안을 탐색하는 데에 목적이 있다. 문헌고찰을 통해 초등교사양성제도의 변천과정을 살펴보고, 캄보디아의 초등학교 교사, 시·도교육청 관계자, 초등교사 양성기관 관리자를 대상으로 최근 동향에 관한 반응을 조사하기 위해 면담을 실시하였다. 연구결과, 유능한 후보생을 초등교사 양성기관으로 유치하는 정책, 입학제도, 새로운 양성교육과정은 긍정적인 반응을 받았다. 그러나 현재 초등교사양성제도는 2년제 초등교사양성기관에서 교육과정을 실행할 시간 부족과 예비교사의 학업성취도 하락, 느슨한 교사자격제도와 수습교사를 위한 제한적인 지원과 같은 한계점이 있다. 캄보디아 초등교사양성제도의 최근 개혁동향 분석 및 교육구성원과의 면담 분석결과를 토대로, 캄보디아 초등교사양성제도의 개선 및 발전방안을 위한 시사점을 제시하였다. The purpose of this study was to analyze the recent reform trends in Cambodia’s primary teacher training system and derive implications by examining the perceptions of education members. To attain this purpose, the researchers have conducted literature reviews to understand the changes in Cambodia’s primary teacher training system and interviewed primary school teachers, education officials, and a teacher trainee to examine the response to the current system. According to the study, the policy for attracting competent students into the teaching workforce and the admission system were found effective. And the new training curricula got a positive response. However, the current system has some limitations such as lack of time to implement the curriculum of Provincial Teacher Training Center (PTTC), a decline in academic performance of teacher trainees in PTTC, a loose teacher qualification system, and limited support for probationary teachers. Based on the analysis, this study has presented implications for Cambodia’s primary school teacher training system. First, to improve the academic performance of PTTC teacher trainees, it is necessary to analyze the interaction between teacher trainers and teacher trainees, teaching and learning methods, environment, and learning outcomes to explore specific improvements. Second, an in-depth research is needed to examine the effectiveness of the current teacher qualification system. Third, a systematic support program should be established for probationary teachers.
