본 연구는 국어교육 및 문법교육 내에 ‘의미 규범’ 개념을 도입하고자 하는 목적으로 수행되었다. 인간은 사회적 동물이기에, 한 사람이 사회화되는 과정에서 사회 규범은 중요한 동기로 작용한다. 이때 사회의 규범은 반드시 그러하거나 그러지 말아야 하는 것뿐 아니라 일반적으로 그러하거나 그러하지 않는 것 모두를 포함한다. 그간 국어교육 및 문법교육에서는 어문 규정을 중심으로 언어 형식의 의무적 규범만을 규범 범주에 포함시켜 왔다. 하지만 의미는 교육적 중재 없이 관찰이 어렵다는 점, 문법교육이 주체적으로 의미를 구성하는 학습자상을 지향한다는 점 등에서 의미 규범 역시 문법교육에서 주요하게 다루어질 필요가 있다. 의미 규범의 교육은 특히 내용뿐 아니라 방법적 측면에서 사회적 구성주의를 적극 지향한다는 점에서 그 의미가 있다. This study is aimed at introducing the concept of Semantic norm within the Korean language education, especially grammar education. Because human is a social animal, the social norm serve as an important motivation in socializing. The norm of society includes not only what it should or should not be done, but what it generally does or does not. Until now, in Korean language education and grammar education have been regarded the injunctive norm of language forms as a norm of language, focused on the Regulation of Standard Korean. However, the semantic norm also needs to be considered as a major part of grammar education, based on the fact that it is difficult to observe the meaning without educational mediation and that grammar education pursues learners who make up the meaning in their own way. Education of semantic norms has value of its social constructivist perspective not only in content but also in methodical terms.
