        Sediment yields from the reservoir watershed areas and raising of the spillway crest for the agricultural reservoir capacity enlargement were investigated and analysed through the 21 pilot reservoirs, have irrigated areas 200has. and over in the Kyoungpook province. In these studies, (1), the correlation analysis between various watershed characteristics and annual specific sediment yields were derived and (2), the excess effective reservoir capacity of the over 0.5m above the spillway crest could be estimated. In brief, catchment area should strongly be correlated with the annual specific sediment yields (R=0.90), the other side, average slope of the main stream is less than catchment area. The excess effective capacity of reservoir enlargement by the raising of spillway crest at 0.5m-height was resulted 12.1% of increasing capacity compare with the original reservoir capacity.

        팬 번역에서 읽을 수 있는 팬의 정서와 관점 이해: 미국 드라마 팬자막 선행 연구를 중심으로

        As a form of fan activity, a “fan subtitle” refers to a translated subtitle produced and distributed informally by international fans of a particular work. In the early 21st century, Korea experienced a socio-cultural phenomenon known as the “mid (US TV shows) craze” due to fan subtitles of US TV shows. This paper summarizes the characteristics of fan translations and examines the pursuit of quality from fans’ perspectives through a review of previous studies on fan subtitles from the 2000s to the 2020s. Fan translation focuses on the goal of quality improvement as faithfully conveying the content of the source text to the target text by compensating for cultural differences as much as possible, which is linked to a sense of belonging and emotional identification with the fandom and the desire to be recognized for serving them. Fan translators can be considered to have performed the affective labor of creating fan subtitles as a means of enhancing their emotional experience and sense of solidarity, and it is this characteristic of fan translation that needs to be identified and understood so that the film industry can approach it in terms of policy support. Recognizing that fans require an emotional and respectful relationship with and attunement to the work in order to transmit it is also about understanding the collective tendencies of audiences. In the 2020s, fan translations of Korean content are on the rise, and the need for systematic translation support for export to culturally different regions is increasing. In this era, identifying and responding to the characteristics of fans through the analysis of fan subtitling trends of US TV shows in the early 21st century will be a reference for Korean content translation and localization.

      • 팬픽션에 나타나는 인물 분석과 재구성에 관한 연구 -한국의 <엑스파일> 팬픽션을 중심으로

        Fanfiction is the majority action in fandom. Fanfiction writers work with their favorite characters. Character analysis of fan is different with the one of common people. Fan works have different standards, so that makes misunderstanding comparing with common literature. This study subscribes about the standards and the analysis ability of fans. This study is based on Korean The X-Files fanfictions, which has database from 1990s to 2000s. The category of fanfiction is close to ``tag``. Tag is the guideline of fanfiction writers and readers. For example: Shipper. Relationship is important to fanfiction and it gives a lot of categories: shipper, fence sitter, slash, and etc. And in fictional fanworks, timeline is important to determine character`s mind. The modern literature characters isn`t flat: their mind is original, but actions are various. So fans describe a character in many ways, but they know the character should do something based on canon. Vladimir Propp talks about functions of characters in Morphology of the Folk Tale. The X-Files characters are set in Propp`s Morphology: villian-smoking man, helper-The Lone Gunmen, Princess` Father-Skinner, hero-Mulder and Scully, false hero-Krycek, etc. Absentation-kidnapping of Samantha, interdiction-the classify of case, violation of interdiction-Mulder`s investigation, etc. This makes alternative universe fanfiction: the characters are same but the background(place, time) is different. In even canon, 6X03 Triangle showed alternative universe in world war II, and 7ABX18 Hollywood A.D. showed it with ``feature film`` as a fiction in a fiction. Fans also know the functions of characters, and apply to their works. But, fans choose the one side of peculiarities in canon. Each of fan wants to see what he or she likes(or should be): someone chooses Mulder`s braveness, but another chooses his ditching to Scully, and another choose his laziness to write on their story. Fan are curious about the characters, and further they imagine what the character would do. The fanfictions are fan`s analysis of characters. Fanfiction is a kind of guideline. A canon which has a lot of fanfictions means that the accepters(reader/viewer/audience) of this work are active, and the canon has a value of poaching.

        스핀오프, 컨텐츠 시대에 어울리는 속편 제작형태 제안

        'Crossover' and 'Spin-off' is not rare in American comics and TV shows. Spin-off means a producer makes the extended story which follows the plot or characters. 〈CSI〉, 〈Law and Order〉 are typical ones. In Korea, animated series 〈The Dream of Janggeum〉 could be the spin-off of TV show 〈Daejanggeum〉. Spin-off needs substantial original work. The position of spin-off should be not too far from original one, but also not too close. And spin-off needs enthusiasm of fandom who wants more story - but it doesn't mean endless postponement. To extend storyline or plot, original work already had substantial subplot. The value of spin-off could give the possibility of explication in other view, not be subordinate by original. 'Spin-off' and 'crossover' are for the consumer, who doesn't want only same elements of original. The consumer want to share the feeling with everybody, include producer. Fandom is important to make spin-off and crossover. Maniac fans want to extend their feelings by fan art, and get most satisfaction from the response of producer. Spin-off or crossover could be the contentment response, which is for the consumer who needs more inspiration, not the story itself. Spin-off is a extension of a fictional world. Minor character or event has also their own story, and it sustain and fulfill the world of original work. But if the original work is poor, or if the spin-off didn't catch the point of core, spin-off could break down the original work. Spin-off is in the middle of ambiguity which is similar but not too same, and also inhere the view of original fiction. It's not easy to spin off. Spin-off extends the plot, establishment, and view of a fiction. It make larger the field of story, and extend the world of the fiction, and give more explications of works. In the contemporary time of 'one source multi use', spin-off is worth to be spotlighted.

        미국식 TV 드라마 시리즈의 시즌제도와 마블 시네마틱 유니버스의 페이즈 비교

        이 글에서는 미국 TV 드라마 시리즈에서 ‘큰 줄거리’와 ‘단독 에피소드’를 시즌 안에서 분배하고 배치하는 연재법을 살펴보고, 이 방식이 마블 영화사가 제작한 일련의 작품들에서도 보임을 설명한다. 일련의 작품을 하나의 시리즈로 간주할 수 있는 기반은 제작진이 전체 구조를 중장기적인 사전 기획에 맞췄기 때문이며, 이러한 작법 경향은 매체를 떠나 유사성을 보일 것이다. TV 시리즈에서 이야기의 완급을 관찰할 수 있는 단위가 시즌이라면, 마블 영화에서는 페이즈가 있는데, 이 둘은 일정 기간 내에 일정 수의 작품을 한 묶음으로 편성하고 공개한다는 점에서 유사하다. 마블 영화의 큰 줄거리는 다수의 인물이 모여 핵심사건이 전개된다는 점에서 〈어벤저스〉 시리즈가, 한 편 안에서 플롯이 완결되는 단독 에피소드는 단독 히어로 영화가 해당할 것이다. 초기에는 단독 에피소드가 강하다가 후반에는 연속극이 강화되는 현상, 핵심 사건을 진행하면서도 단독 에피소드로 전체의 완급을 조절하는 방식은 TV 시리즈와 마블 영화 모두에서 발견할 수 있다. 마블 영화 세계관(Marvel Cinematic Universe, MCU)의 성공은 일련의 작품들이 한 세계에서 벌어진다는 ‘세계관’의 개념을 일반대중에 전파했으며, 다수의 영상물이 대중에게 하나의 시리즈로 인식되는 기획의 중요성을 보여준다. 미국 TV 산업의 시즌 제도를 이해하는 것은 시리즈 영화를 파악하는데 도움이 되며, 향후 세계관을 다루는 중장기적 작품 기획 면에서 일종의 원형을 제공할 것이다. This article is about a comparison of allocation methods which mythology’ and ‘stand-alone episode’ within schedule on US TV shows industry and Marvel’s feature films. The base idea to perceive several contents as a one is by the filmmakers who prearranged whole narrative under mid-to long-term schedule. And such narrative tendency would show the similarities despite media difference. Season in TV industry can be a unit which shows fast and slow flow in narrative, then phase in Marvel Cinema does. Both are similar as a method of grouping several works in limited schedule. Avengers series can be mythology ones which has overarching plot, and other solo heroes films can be stand-alone episodes. At the start of unit(season or phase), stand-alone episodes stand out. But at the near of end, serialized mythology ones stand out and stand-alone episodes work as filers for balance. Such patterns are seen in both TV shows and Marvel Cinema. The success of MCU(Marvel Cinematic Universe) spreads the concept of “universe” to mass culture, and it proved the importance of planning to convince the audience to perceive several contents as a one. To understanding ‘season’ in US TV show industry, it helps to analyze the narrative structure in feature film series. And it will provide a kind of prototype to handle the ‘universe’ contents.

        팬픽션의 관점으로 보는 대안세계(alternative universe)와 원소스 멀티유즈

        House(Fox, 2004~). Sherlock Holmes(Guy Ritchie, 2009, 2011), Sherlock(BBC, 2010, 2012) are based on the novels of Arthur Conan Doyle, and they shows what it the alternative world. Usually, making alternative world is on fan works, especially fanfictions. Recently, some makers describe them as a maniac fans, and they attend in remake, or reboot. House is a medical TV show, which adopt the system of Sherlock Holmes story. House-Holmes, Wilson-Watson, Lestrade-Cuddy, and finding out the disease by deduction, such similarities ‘Holmes and Watson’ is a kind of frame which can be put any story. Film Sherlock Holms followed original timeline, but it is a action movie of a man named Sherlock Holmes. Sherlock Holmes showed good ensemble, but that was chemistry of actors, not characters based on original story. It was funny and interesting Guy Ritchie’s twisted version of London, but it is hardly to say Doyle’s world. BBC TV show Sherlock is changed the time to 21th century. Many things of original story is converted to modern times. Telegram to smart phone, morphine addiction to nicotine one, Watson’s journal to Watson’s blog. And Sherlock focused on the friendship of two, the makers introduced them as fans of Sherlock Holmes stores. They covered hints which only maniac fans would know, and made fake blog or tweeter account of characters. It is a place that Sherlock fans enjoyed and communicated each other, that made the fandom more plenty. The fan-author rewrite the canon, and it means the sphere of canon grows over and over by history. Nowadays, a work can be revised to multiple media, and some adaptations are by fan-authors. At that time, fan-author created alternative world which satisfy fandom. Alternative world by fan-author shows how fandom make the canon to produce own value, and they can get the point what is the fans want to see.
