서울 중심부에 북악산, 인왕산, 남산, 낙산의 산줄기와 물길이 어우러진 북촌이 있다. 600여 년 간 서울의 주요 중심 지역으로 정치적·문화적 권력의 핵심 공간이라고 할 수 있는 북촌을 지리학적으로 고찰하는 것은 큰 의의가 있다. 본 연구는 우선, 시간에 따른 북촌의 물길 변화 과정을 고지도와 근·현대 지도 분석 및 중첩을 통해 살펴본다. 각종 문헌과 신문자료, 자서전 및 토박이들의 서사적 이야기(narrative text)와 물길의 실제 답사과정을 통해 합치성 여부를 파악함으로써 북촌의 장소성을 찾고자 한다. 연구결과, 북촌의 물길은 일제강점기 이후 복개공사로 인해 실제 보이지 않지만 도로 밑에서 여전히 흐르고 있었다. 그리고 우물들과 빨래터가 남아 있어서 과거 물길을 증명하는 주요 근거가 되었다. 또한 북촌의 물길은 다른 모습으로 변화했지만 여전히 이 지역의 장소성을 의미하는 중요한 요소로 자리하고 있음을 확인할 수 있었다. Bukchon village, the center of Seoul in South Korea, nestles snugly at a range of Bugack, Inwang and Naksan Mountains harmonizing with hills and small streams. The village has been a political, cultural and historical center of Seoul for about 600 years. Thus, the research on this place from a geological point of view is very meaningful. In this study, by overlapping and tracing antique maps and modern-contemporary maps, I found out how the water ways of Bukchon village have changed over time. I also confirmed the consistency among those changes and analyzed the placeness of Bukchon village by exploring various literatures newspapers, autobiographies and native people`s narrative texts. After the research, I found out that the water ways in Bukchon village are hidden due to the covering constructions during the Japanese colonial period, but have been still flowing under roads up to now. I also ascertained that there remain some wells and wash places in the village which are the traces of the past water ways. I verified that though the water ways of Bukchon have changed a lot, they still are recognized as one of the important factors which are influencing upon the placeness of Bukchon village.

지리 교과에서의 융합 수업 설계 및 실천 연구: ‘명화로 떠나는 세계 여행’을 주제로

본 연구의 목적은 지리와 미술과의 융합 수업을 설계하고, 실제 수업에 적용하는 실 천 연구를 통해 사회과에서의 STEAM교육 방법과 그 의의를 모색하는 데에 있다. 이를 위해 첫째, 융합교육과정에 대한 이론적 고찰을 근거로 지리수업에서의 미술 작품 활용 수업의 가 능성을 모색하였다. 미술 작품에는 다양한 자연 및 인문 환경뿐만 아니라 그 안에서 살아가 는 인간의 삶이 담겨 있기 때문에, 지리와 미술 교과 간에 융합교육 실천이 가능하다고 보았 다. 둘째, STEAM 수업 유형 중 간학문적이고 탐구중심인 모형을 선택하였으며, 구체적인 수 업절차와 전략은 인지적 도제 학습방법을 적용하였는데, 학습자들이 처음에는 미술 작품에서 지리적 사실들을 교사와 함께 탐구해나가다가, 나중에는 스스로 지리적 사실을 찾아내어 설 명할 수 있는 탐구력과 지리적 사고력을 향상할 수 있도록 구성하였다. 셋째, 실제 수업 적 용은 미술과와 교과협의를 통해 이루어졌다. 미술 시간에 이루어진 ‘명화 따라 그리기’ 수업 을 통해 주요 명화에 대한 작가와 작품 세계, 그리고 다양한 명화들을 접하면서 학생들이 미 술 작품에 대한 정보와 친근감을 갖게 한 후, 지리 수업에서 ‘명화로 떠나는 세계 여행’ 이 라는 주제로 융합수업을 실시하였다. 넷째, 수업 후 학생들의 반응을 분석한 결과, 미술과 융 합 수업에 대한 신선함과 흥미로움에 대한 의견이 가장 많았고, 다음으로 지리적 요소와 개 념에 대한 안목과 지리적 사고력이 신장되었다는 의견이 많았으며, 지리 과목이 일상생활과 관련성이 높다는 것을 알게 되었다는 내용이 그 다음 순위로 나타났다. The purpose of this study is to design STEAM teaching method and its implication in social studies through practical study, which is applied to actual lesson. To do this, First of all, the possibility of using works of art in geography class was explored, based on the theoretical considerations of convergence curriculum. Since the works of art contain not only diverse natural and human environments, but also human lives that live in them, I believe that it is possible to practice convergence education that can communicate with each other between geography and art. Second, in the STEAM class types, we designed a convergence class by using cognitive apprenticeship learning and a kind of interlinked class. In the beginning, students were able to relate geographical facts with teachers in art works, and later on, they were able to improve their exploration and geographical thinking ability to identify and explain geographical facts themselves. Third, the actual class application was made through the consultation with the art department. Through the ‘Drawing a masterpiece’ class during the art time, the students became acquainted with the information about the artist, In the geography class, we conducted a fusion lesson on the theme of ‘World Trip to Mythology’. Fourth, as a result of analyzing students reactions after class, there were many opinions about freshness and interest in art and fusion lesson, followed by increasing the insight about geographical factors and concepts, and geographical thinking, followed by the knowledge of geography class’ high relevance to daily life.
