Ceramic/metal composites have many attractive properties and great potential fur applications. Interfacial fracture properties of different layered composites are important in material integrity. Therefore, evaluation of fracture toughness at interface is required in essence. In this study, the mechanical characteristics for interface of ceramic/metal composites were investigated by indentation test of micro-hardness method. Apparent interfacial toughness of TBC system could be determined with a relation between the applied load and the length of the crack formed at the interface by indentation test.
큐빅 스플라인 곡선을 이용한 Web3D 투어 가이드 설계 및 구현

3차원 가상화경은 현실과 유사한 환경을 제시하기 때문에 게임, 군사, 시뮬레이션, 오락, 의료등 다양한 분야에서 사용되고 있다. 3차원 가상환경에서 탐색항해는 현실세계에 비해 부족한 주변 정보를 사용하기 때문에 방향상실과 같은 문제점이 제기 된다. 사용자에게 보다 효과적인 탐색항해를 위해 다양한 탐색항해 보조도구에 대한 연구가 진행되고 있다. 본 연구는 탐색항해 경로 설정을 위해 큐빅스플라인 곡선을 사용하였다. 큐빅스플라인 곡선은 수치해석적 방법으로 구했으며, 탐색항해의 일관성을 유지하기 위해서 접선 방향으로 방향을 설정 하였다. Web3D 언어인 VPML은 보간노드를 제공하기 때문에 보간노드를 이용하여 구현하였다.

Laminated glass fiber-reinforced plastic (GFRP) composites were applied to an insulating structure of a magnet system for a nuclear fusion device. Decreased inter-laminar strength by a strong repulsive force between coils which is induced a problem of structural integrity in laminated GFRPs. Therefore, it is important to investigate the inter-laminar characteristics of laminated GFRP composites in order to assure more reliable design and better structural integrity. Three types of the laminated GFRP composites using a high voltage insulating materials were fabricated according to each molding process. To evaluate the grade of the fabricated composites, mechanical tests, such as hardness, tensile and compressive tests,were carried out. The autoclave molding composites satisfied almost of the mechanical properties reguested at the G10 class standard, but the vacuum impregnation (VPI) and Prepreg composites did not.
전자석 시스템의 절연 구조물용 유리섬유강화 복합재료의 층간 파괴인성

In this study, the interlaminar fracture behaviors of laminated GFRP composites were investigated, and the results could be used for damage tolerance design based on fracture mechanics. Three types of laminated GFRP composites that can be used as high voltage insulating materials in magnet systems were fabricated in order to study the interlaminar fracture behavior according to the molding process. The values of interlaminar fracture toughness for the VPI, prepreg, and HPL laminate were 1.9 MPa · 1/2, 1.7 MPa · 1/2, and 2.2 MPa · 1/2, respectively. HPL laminate showed the best fracture resistance. The failure modes of HPL and VPI were similar to that of an adhesive joint, and prepreg laminates showed partial cohesive failure mode due to internal voids.
