Inter-particle collisions of small sphere particles in homogeneous isotropic turbulence modify the statistical characteristics of particles. The dispersion of heavy particles is known to decrease by this collision effect. (Lavieville 1997) In this paper, we investigate particle velocity autocorrelation, particle concentration and dispersion with/without consideration of inter-particle collisions. Direct numerical simulations were performed for isotropic turbulence laden with particles much smaller than Kolmogorov length scale with a collision algorithm. It is clear that dispersion is suppressed by particle collisions especially for the particles with high Stokes number.
