        The purpose of this thesis was to investigate the welding characteristics and the residual stress behavior of SS41, commonly using power station, aircraft and ship. The experimented material was GMA welded in order to look over the residual stress distribution was measured under perfect restraint and nonrestraint welding conditions. From these test, we reached conclusion as followings ; The welding residual stress welded specimens was much higher in restraint condition than in nonrestraint. In case of restraint welding, the σx direction residual stress was measured the tensile residual stress. In case of nonrestraint welding, it was rapidly changed to compressive residual stress at about 15mm from welding bead center. In case of nonrestraint welding, the σy direction residual stress was measured the tensile residual stress. In case of restraint welding, it was changed to compressive residual stress at 40~45mm from welding bead center.

        In this study, the purpose of this thesis was to investigate the welding characteristics and the Mechanical Properties behavior of titanium-alloy(JIS H4605 Class 13), commonly using power station, aircraft and ship. The experimented material was TIG welded in order to look over the characteristics according to the notch position and compare with other materials. The tensile strength and elongation of the 5 pass at primary shielding gas welded specimens was shown about lower than those of the non-welded specimens at the same welding conditions. The hardness distribution of the 5 pass at 5ℓ/min and 10ℓ/min primary shielding gas welded specimens was lower than those of the non-welded specimens at the same welding conditions. The absorption energy of the 5 pass at 5ℓ/min and 10ℓ/min primary shielding gas welded specimens was lower than those of the non-welded specimens at the same welding conditions.

        In this study, the purpose of this thesis was to investigate the welding characteristics and the mechanical properties behavior of 784Mpa high-strength steel, commonly using truck, farming machine, heavy equipment etc. Weldments according to the welding conditions on changes welding specimens opening angle in 784Mpa high-strength steel welding is important to acquire more knowledge. Structural discontinuities such as joints and in part due to repeated loading and fatigue crack growth are more likely to crash, accident welding conditions depending on the skill of welders according to the strength of welds is true that a lot of factors that reduce a lot of research on this progress and form, but the geometry and load conditions due to the combined effects, including a lot of issues still remain to be solved in this study the following facts. Butt joint of welding material at plate thickness 12mm atos 784Mpa high-strength steel in the form 4pass, 20ℓ/min, 50˚, 24V/200A is good in the welding specimen of Indication on the radiograph
