본 연구은 최근 증가하고 있는 생활체육의 한 분야인 헬스클럽 이용자의 운동형태를 파악하고 운동형태에 따른 운동중독 특성을 살펴봄으로서 헬스클럽 이용자들에게 운동중독에 대한 정보를 제공하여 효과적인 운동적응과 긍정적 운동중독으로의 방향을 제시하고자 하는데 목적이 있다. 연구의 목적을 달성하기 위하여 경상남도에 분포하고 있는 헬스클럽 회원을 대상으로 하였고, 헬스클럽의 회원이 700명이상인 헬스클럽 8곳에서 각 50명씩 선정하였다. 결과를 살펴보면, 남자는 복합 운동형태가 여자는 유산소 운동형태가, 그리고 전체에서는 복합 운동형태가 가장 높게 나타났다. 운동형태 별 운동중독의 요인들을 살펴보면 금단증상에는 차이가 없었으며, 운동욕구에서는 남자와 전체에서 근력운동 형태가 유산소 운동형태에 비해 유의하게 높게 나타났다. 또한 감정적 애착에서는 남자는 차이가 나타나지 않았지만 여자와 전체에서 근력운동 형태가 가장 높게 나타났다. 결론적으로 헬스클럽을 이용하는 이용자의 운동형태 중 근력운동 형태가 운동중독의 경향이 더욱 분명히 나타나는 것으로 생각된다. The purpose of this study was to investigate the type of exercise in the health club, which is one of the increasing forms of daily sports, and to examine the characteristics of exercise addiction according to the exercise type. This study is to present the direction of effective exercise adaptation and positive exercise addiction. The 500 members of a health club in Gyeongsangnam-do are participated in our study. Results showed that there was no difference in withdrawal symptoms of exercise addiction among the exercise types. In the need of exercise, the resistance exercise type was significantly higher in men, and the whole than in the aerobic exercise type. In addition, in emotional attachment, there was no difference in men, but the resistance exercise type was highest in women and the combined exercise type. In conclusion, resistance exercise type among the users who use the health club seems to be more clear tendency of exercise addiction.
