In the case of inverter power modules for existing eco-friendly vehicles, assembly using bolt fastening was generally used. However, for reasons such as weight reduction, securing assembly space, and reducing CT, the use of laser welding is increasing. In the case of bolts, it was possible to check whether the part was fastened by checking the assembly torque. However, in the case of joining through laser welding, it is possible to check whether the part is joined through non-destructive testing. There are methods such as PT (Penetration Test: Penetrant Test), MT (Magnetic Test: Magnetic Particle Test), RT (Radioisotope Test: Radiation Test), and UT (UltrasonicTest: Ultrasonic Test). In this study, we propose a method to secure welding quality through visual inspection through CT (Computed Tomography) and scanning.

Recently, as the development of electrification and autonomous vehicles has become important in the automotive market, the development demand for PCBs having various structures is increasing. Accordingly, after the PCB soldering process, it is necessary to verify the quality from various and complex perspectives. In addition to securing electronic/electrical quality, it has also become important to secure mechanical appearance quality, such as whether the material of the mounted insert injection material has not melted, and whether the press busbar is bent or plating is in good condition. In this paper, we will consider the problem phenomenon of the PCB soldering process, especially the plating clumping to the surface of the press bus bar after applying the reflow soldering process. By accurately grasping the status of the problem and analyzing the cause through reproducibility verification, we will present guidelines for how to prevent plating colonization after the soldering process in the future.

친환경 자동차용 인버터에 파워모듈을 조립할 때 기존에는 볼트 체결방식을 적용하였다. 하지만 볼트 체결방식은 조립공간, 중량, 체결시간 등 여러가지 단점이 있었고 이런 단점을 해결하기 위해 최근에는 레이저용접으로 조립을 하고있다. 이를 통해 중량 저감 및 연비향상, 조립시간 등을 개선할수 있게 되었다. 근래에는 그린레이저 장비의 용량이 증대되어 기존 IR레이저용접을 대체하여 파워모듈 용접을 할수 있게 되었다. 본 연구를 통해 IR레이저와 그린레이저 용접 특성을 파악하고 용접 적용부 재질, 두께 등 특성에 맞춰 적절한 방식을 선택 및 적용할 수 있을 것으로 기대한다. When assembling a power module in an inverter for an eco-friendly vehicle, a bolt fastening method was previously applied. However, the bolt fastening method had various disadvantages such as assembly space, weight, and fastening time, and to solve these disadvantages, laser welding is being used recently. Through this, it is possible to reduce weight, improve fuel efficiency, and improve assembly time. In recent years, as the capacity of green laser equipment has increased, power module welding can be performed by replacing the existing IR laser welding. Through this study, it is expected that IR laser and green laser welding characteristics can be identified, and appropriate methods can be selected and applied according to the characteristics such as the material and thickness of the welding application area.

The power module, which is essential to the inverter for eco-friendly vehicles, was assembled by the conventional bolting method. However, the bolting method had several disadvantages such as assembly space, weight, and fastening time, and laser welding was applied to the inverter power module assembly as a method to solve these problems. Through this, it is expected that the unit price will be reduced by reducing the weight of the eco-friendly vehicle, improving fuel efficiency, securing space in the engine room, and shortening the production time. Through the welding jig concept and guidelines presented in this study, problems that may occur when applying laser welding can be prevented in advance.
범용 웨이브 솔더링 장비를 위한 PCB 지그 최적화 설계

In the preceding research and PROTO level, it is not possible to configure a dedicated equipment environment suitable for each PCB concept, and it is common to have no choice but to produce various product groups by changing only the equipment conditions within a set time in a fixed equipment environment of general-purpose. In this study, we propose a PCB jig optimization design guideline to help select the optimal process conditions within the limited environment as above. In addition, we present a discriminant that can determine in advance whether production is possible/impossible in the current general-purpose equipment. Through the above results, problems that may occur due to the limitations of the general-purpose wave soldering equipment environment can be identified and prevented in advance, and accordingly, the development period can be shortened and productivity can be expected to be improved.
