朝鮮時代 地方都市의 空間構造에 關한 硏究 : 尙州, 慶州, 大邱를 中心으로

The objective of this research is to clarify the regional structure of the cities of the Chosun Dynasty and the principles of their formation. A comparative study of three cities, namely Sangju. Kyoungju and Taegu has been carried out. The results of the investigation are as follows. 1) Although the formation of the cities of Sangju, Kyoungju and Taegu took place before the occurance of Feng-shui, it is clear that the adoption of Feng-shui and techniques complimentary to the natural topography were highly regarded in the Chosun Dynasty. 2) The political ideas at the time, based on the strict principles and ranking-order of Confucianism also influenced the process of formation; seen particularly well in the structure of the GAMYOUNG. In addition, sacrificial facilities, being an expression of confucianism, were newly established outside these castle cities.

The conclusion drawn from this study can be summarized as follows. The origin of the Silla Capital Castle can be found from the Guem Sung (Golden Castle) which was built in 37 Hyuk Gu Sae year after the formation of Sa Ro Kook. But the Guem Sung during Sa Ro Kook era was not enough to be a Capital City in it's form and size. It was only a castle for the King. The first real formation of what we call city today was gradually progressed while the construction of the royal regime which brought the cetralization of power. Especially, before Ja Bi Ma Rip Gan Chinese capital castle system did not influence directly to Silla Dynasty. But, after that, they started to name the districts, specified the market place as an ecomonical district, built Buddhist temples, constucted East Distirict, West Distirict, and South Distirct around Wol Sung which is the Capital Castle. By doing this, the formation of ancient city was possible. Na Sung was not there around the King's City, they built San Sung instead. This kind of spacial allocation made outline of Capital Castle. After the unification of ancient Korea which was then divided into three by Koguryu. Beakjae and Silla, construction of the city was influenced by China. They followed the Chinese city system as a model and gradually adopted the model. During King Sun Duk era, Jong Myo and Sa Jil, which came from Chinese ceremonial space was built inside of Capital Castle. This means the completion of the city at that time.

In this study we classified the contents relating Ru-architectures in the digitalized Choson Dynasty authentic record and analyzed their uses and architectural character which had been changed by the social situation in the period of Chosun Dynasty. Especially it is focused on the practical uses of Gyeonghoeru by statistics method.<BR> this study is to have purpose of the recognizing of Ru and it means the first step of to find the proper method of conservation and practical use of Ru in complex city as historical environment.

This study, following the study on the spacial structure of local cities during the Chosun Dynasty - centering around the Taegubu Castle’s spaces for sacrificial rites - was conducted on the governmental facilities such as inns, government offices and quarters within the Taegubu castle city that was the central administrative city of the Kyongsangdo area. The spacial structure of the public facilities inside and outside of Taegubu during the Chosun Dynasty is summarized as follows. 1) According 성 ancient atlases such as Yeo-Ji-Do-Seo and Dong- Kuk-Yeo-Ji-Seung-Nam, it was common that during the Chosun Dynasty, most local castle deities had their back mountains in the direction of north. However, the Taegubu castle city had its back mountain in the direction of south. In terms of the entire spacial structure of the castle city, it seems that the external spacial order systems have been geomantically and topographically influenced, as with most castle cities during the Chosun Dynasty, and the internal arrangements of public facilities have been influenced by the ideas of the Confucian policy and the capital city systems under the governmental regulations(Kokongki) of the Ju, a Chinese Dynasty. Therefore, the local cities formed and developed their city spaces, based on the Hansungbu. 2) Like the Hansungbu where the Kyongbokkung Palace was located in the most central part and all other facilities are arranged centering around the palace, the inns that symbolized a king, the Kyongsang governmental and military office that controlled public administration, judicature, and military administration, and quarters were located in the most cent때 part of the Taegubu castle. The public facilities were arranged in accordance with hierarchical order and business organization that served in terms of the technique of arrangement and structure, and the facilities were also divided by fences and servants’ quarters in terms of the areas of the castle city. It seems that these location, arrangement and structure resulted from the class consciousness that was one of the ideas of the Confucian policy during the Chosun Dynasty. As stated above, during the Chosun Dynasty the local governments followed the administrative systems of the central government. Thus, the structure of the local castle cities ranging from the entire spacial structure of the city from building structure was formed in accordance with hierarchical order. The structure was symbolically and uniformly developed, and the city was also formed as a miniature of the Hansungbu.
