It was required that insects damaging the soybean pod-setting should be controlled by chemicals that could be obtained in markets, before studying the ecological variation of insects concerned. This was to know the effect of insectside, EPN, on controlling the insects affecting soybean pod-Setting. Soybean Variety used was Jang dan Baek mock and Planted on June 15, concentration of EPN was diluted to 1,000 times with water. Plot arrangement was randomized complete design with four replications. 1. Better pod-setting was obtained sprayed at the time of midflowering and the end of flowering. Complete pod-setting was also obtained when spraying was done at the time of flowering. Tow times of spraying showed better results than any other treatments. 2. The pods obtained more when sprayed at the end of flowering the sprayed at the mid-flowering. Midflowering treatment that showed more pods resulted in more damage by insects. Damage caused by insects decreased with increasing the number of spraying. 3. Soybean yield was highly correlated with the damage ratio of pods, the number of complete pods. The efore, high yield was obtained when the number of complete pods increased. Soybean yield was also related with the number of spraying. Increasing the number of spraying resulted in high yield indicating that there was good effect of spraying ENP.
