精神治療에서 일어나는 難關의 克服( I ) - 治癒因子의 糾明을 위한 豫備研究 -

As a preliminary study to investigate the major curative factors in psychotherapy, the authors collected andw reviewed 35cases of consultation-interviews using a oneway mirror during monthly case seminars from October, 1987 to December, 1990 in the department of Psychiatry, Kyungpook National University. In these case seminars the residents, who were faced with therapeutic difHculties, consulted with Rhee D.Chonorary president of Korean Academy of Psychotherapists) about their cases. Out of the above 35 cases, 6 of them which were compatible with this purpose were selected. Then the authors studied the differences between resident’s and consultation interviewers therapeutic activities by case by case analysis. Through investigation, the authors suggested that several elements of the therapist’s activities were essential to the successful process of psychotherapy. These elements were as follows 1) From the beginning of psychotherapy, accurate and prompt understanding of the patients nuclear emotion by the therapist and proper establishment of therapeutic focus in consideration of the patient s present inner and external realities. 2) The therapists ability and genuine endeavor in inceseant understanding of patient’s inner psychic life and conveying his understanding to the patient on proper timing. 3) The therapists ability to perceive the patient’s emotional state at any moment and at any behavior without theoretical preoccupation and his own prejudice. 4) Empathic understanding and positive emotional attitude toward the patient (mature personality of the therapist)
