It is true that we, up to now, have given little interest and attention to the physical education of society. But with the social and economic development many people nowadays have been showing much concern in order to keep their good health and make good use of leisure time. We have already finished '86 Asian games with success. Our government facing another big event - '88 olympic games, has promoting an interest in sports as a step of coping with the affairs successful. At this critical point of these days, it is required that the government has to give careful attention in making policy decisions on thing like the nation's health, how to make use of leisure time and physical training in the workshop and community. It is a good thing that the Ministry of athletics has announced to put emphasis in promoting the nation's health and keeping society agreeable, and has arranged, in order to do this, a series of legal provision for athletic promotion of society. This paper was conducted to examine and appreciate the present realities of physical training of society in view of social, economical and political point, and then observed some problems from the present state of physical education to provide policy decisions with theoretical materials on physical of society.

A kind of polo which has been as one of korean folk sports popular through the era of the Three states and the Chosun dynasty. It has been changed with the times and completely washed away with the spread of Western sports. This paper is to examine it (a kind of polo) from the historical perspective at the point of time when our traditional culture has to be preserved and enhanced.

It is said that many people notice the physical education and social sports. Because with the social and economic development, a lot of people put their interest into the sports; keeping in their good shape and making use of spare time with sports. And this atmosphere was based on the system supported by the government. After finishing the 1986 Asian Games and the 1988 Seoul Olympics, government has tried to promote life sports in Korea. Accordingly, the authorities paid attention to make various policy for the nation's health. This paper showed the function of social sports and the comparison with the foreign policy.
