This is a study to contribute to the mechanical heat treating field by inducing the basic paralle equation on the transfer heat exchanger. In this study, by comparing the heat exchanger of parallel flow with that of crossing flow, I investigated the superiority and inferiority of each heat exchanger.

The surface rolling, one of the plastic working processes, provides good surface roughness with the reduction of diameter and the increase of surface hardness. In this study KBC bearing 6000zz bearing were used for surface rolling on SM20C steel the results obtained as follows : 1) The good surface roughness can be obtained with rolling surface radius of curvature of 24mm after the 2nd rolling. 2) The reduction of specimen diameter of SM20C steel were -10.8mm due to rolling.

Heat fatigue is a plastic deformation accompanied by changing temperature, which contains may factors and is complicated problem. There have been many experiments in this area and it turned out that the most important factor of this deformation is the plastic deformation energe produced by cycle. In this paper the writer experimentally measured the changes of limit of fatigue with the ascending temperature by heating the SM 20C from ordinary temperature to 400℃ and re-examined the factors which manage the heat fatigue phenomenon. And so he found out how the dynamic conditions and temperatures act on the heat fatigue destruction. The writer also examined the progresses in the way untill it reaches fracture.
