      • C.Debussy의 作曲技法 考察 : 暎像(Emages) <2>를 中心으로 Centered on the Emages 2

        Claude Debussy(1962-1918) who excludes a traditional romanticism and gives the new impressionism an assured status is a world-famous composer. In the early twentieth century this revolution movement in art and literature of France derived its origin from a metaphysical ided opposing to romantic feeling expression in the 19th century and naturalistic description in actuality. The principle invented by Debussy and succeeded from him to Ravel was nothing but a short duration from 1890 to 1918, but was an epochal reform in order to establish new mode to stipulate one period. His early work is influenced by Germany's romantic style, but from the later of 1880's his peculiar idiom and mode systematized impressionistic technique. In this study I am to take a side view of his piano-Emages 2. *The theory of Debussy's work 1. General technique 2, Program music *The research for composition of Emages 1. An importance of Emages among his pianos. 2. Analysis of technique 1) A melodic structure 2) A chordal structure 3) Penmanship of Piano. In conclusion Debussy's character in his technique eliminated the method of motive development in a counterpoint technique, a clear time and a clear melodic line forming unity and form. And he preferred an implied technique to a complex statement and a suggestion in stead of a direct thing. As we have seen, a new trial of this reform had freat influence on the development of modern music.

      • Schonberg의 無調音樂 硏究 : Centered on Pierrot Lunaire

        Schonberg is one of the world-famous composers who originated atonal music by twelve-tone technique and established the new expression in music. His masterpiece, Pierrot Lunaire made an epoch in the history of music as an atonal music using free series and caused the appearance of twelve-tone music in the later days. The followings are the general characteristics of this piece. 1. This piece used by voice and eight instruments was taken a soloist as an instrument, and written like chamber music for a human voice. 2. The use of magnification of human voice by sprechstimme (speaking voice or speech-song) showed the diversity of tone-color. 3. The characteristics of technique in this piece. 1) The embodiment of atonal melody of non-commonsense interval by free series. 2) The use of various and complexional rhythm for complicated atmosphere. 3) The construction of atonal chord for a sense of etreme instability. 4) The practical use of extreme variation of them used by the method of projection. 5) The composition of form that is not seceded from the traditional method. This epoch-making techniques reached the peak in those days. And nowadays they exercise an important effect upon the study of modern music.

        Cold damage of mulberry in Kangweon Province is generally higher than that or other provinces. Farmers suspected cold damage caused from late summer fertilizer. To understand the effect of late summer fertilizer. To understand the effect of late summer fertilizer, two additional summer fertilizer times, August 10 and 20, were compared with conventional time (June, 20). Mulberry yield increased by 10~30% in 1 m middle cut and 10~17% in leaf picking method in August 10 treatmen, compared with conventional. Additional summer fertilizer did not increase cold damage rate of branches. Leaf yield in leaf picking was higher by 6~29% than that of 1 m middle cut.
