Joint Research between Korea and Myanmar Agricultural Mechanization Department (AMD)

Joint research is performed that Korean made farm machinery is tested and evaluated adaptable to Myanmar farm land. Objectives of joint research are such as (1) to be shown performance testing of Korean made tractor, rice combine, drying and storage complex in the local field conditions of Myanmar. (2) to be modified the tested machines to improve their adaptability to local conditions as directed by the test results.(3) to be demonstrated and evaluated quality of the modified machines in the rural area of Myanmar. 90 HP diesel tractor, 75 HP reel-type rice combine and 2 ton rice drying and storage complex (DSC) are used for field test. Tractor is tested attached with blade, disc harrow and rotavator in Mandalay Region. Temperature of working parts is measured. Combine Harvester is tested in Mandalay, Ayeyawaddy and Nay Pyi Taw Regions. Workability, field capacity and cooling performance will be forecasted. Dryer test is emphasized on drying performance, energy, operational comfort and easiness to control, temperature and humidity, motor stability,fan, convey system and drying chamber. In conclusion, tractor is properly performed. For combine harvester, cooling and discharge systems are seen satisfactory. Grains with pinnacles are seen. But cutting and running systems need to be adjusted.Dryer is shown performance well. The tests and improvement will be continued in 2018. Agricultural mechanization department (AMD) hopes Korean made farm machinery will be market friendly with farmers in near future.
