Bearing fault diagnosis of wind turbines based on dynamic multi-adversarial adaptive network

Owing to the shortage of available labeled data on wind turbine bearings, a new wind turbine bearing fault diagnosis method based on a dynamic multi-adversarial adaptive network (DMAAN) was proposed. In this new method, a laboratory data were used to obtain fault diagnosis models for wind turbine bearings. The first step was evaluating the interdomain distribution difference and intraclass distribution differences between domains. The second step was setting a dynamic adversarial factor to dynamically measure the relative contribution of the two different distributions. The last step was, reducing the distribution difference through multiple adversarial training, to obtain the diagnosis results. The validity of DMAAN was verified via the transfer experiments of laboratory datasets and wind turbine generator measured datasets. The results showed that DMAAN has a higher diagnostic accuracy and better transmission capability in cross-machine transfer fault diagnosis in compare with the existing methods.

In cut throat competition, organizations all over the world try to utilize the immense opportunities the Internet has to offer in almost all of their operations. Today, Social networking sites (SNSs) provide utilities designed to help companies to recruit right personnel. Considering the implication of social media for recruitment at infancy stage in Pakistan and lack of studies related to it, this study aims to investigate the role of different SNSs qualities (Easily navigate, Secure process, Eminence Proficiency, Candidate’s Attraction and Network Expedition) in effective E-recruitment (EER). Data were collected through structured questionnaire from employees and managers of major telecom companies of Pakistan. Finally, the result of 355 returned and valid questionnaire with 55% response rate show that the relationship between SNSs qualities and EER is significant. Moreover, results also prove that EER is better than the tradition recruitment and a SNSs comparison show that Facebook is more effective than LinkedIn for EER. The results of this study will help Pakistani companies to develop a successful e-HRM and EER strategy in the current scenario.
The Volume of Settlement Trough Change with Depth Caused by Tunneling in Sands

The Volume of the settlement trough is essential for estimating the settlement caused by tunneling. Generally, the volume of the settlement trough was recognized as a constant which was equal to the volume of the ground loss in the tunnel buried in clay. According to observation data from both laboratory and field tests, the volume of the settlement trough caused by tunneling in sands changed with depth, although the mechanism behind the volume change has not yet to be understood. In the present study, a largescale laboratory model test was conducted to investigate the volume change of the settlement trough with depth caused by tunneling in sands. The results show that the volume of the settlement trough decreased significantly with a decrease in depth. Based on the data from both literature and the current study, a modified model was proposed to estimate the settlement caused by tunneling in sands considering variation of the volume of settlement trough with depth.
