Background Non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) is a common malignant tumor with a poor 5-year survival rate. Hypoxia is a common phenomenon that occurs in solid tumors, especially after tumor growth. Circular RNA (circRNA) is aberrantly expressed in NSCLC cells under hypoxia. However, the underlying mechanism of biological function has remained unclear. Objective The purpose of this study is to explore the underlying mechanism of the biological function of Circular RNA PIP5K1A in non-small cell lung cancer. Results The levels of circ-PIP5K1A and 1, 4-alpha-glucan branching enzyme 1 GBE1 (GBE1) were upregulated in NSCLC tissues and NSCLC cells under hypoxia, whereas miR-656-3p was downregulated. Knockdown of circ-PIP5K1A or GBE1 inhibited cell glycolysis, proliferation, and motility while promoting cell apoptosis under hypoxia. Besides, miR-656-3p was a direct target of circ-PIP5K1A, and miR-656-3p could specially bind to GBE1. Moreover, circ-PIP5K1A sponged miR-656-3p to upregulate GBE1 expression. In addition, GBE1 overexpression reversed the inhibitory effect of circ-PIP5K1A knockdown on NSCLC cell malignant phenotype under hypoxia. Conclusion Circ-PIP5K1A could be a tumor promoter in NSCLC and regulated NSCLC cell malignant phenotype under hypoxia through miR-656-3p/GBE1 axis. Recommendations Based on Listwise Learning-to-Rank by Incorporating Social Information

Collaborative Filtering (CF) is widely used in recommendation field, which can be divided into rating-based CF and learning-to-rank based CF. Although many methods have been proposed based on these two kinds of CF, there still be room for improvement. Firstly, the data sparsity problem still remains a big challenge for CF algorithms. Secondly, the malicious rating given by some illegal users may affect the recommendation accuracy. Existing CF algorithms seldom took both of the two observations into consideration. In this paper, we propose a recommendation method based on listwise learning-to-rank by incorporating users’ social information. By taking both ratings and order of items into consideration, the Plackett-Luce model is presented to find more accurate similar users. In order to alleviate the data sparsity problem, the improved matrix factorization model by integrating the influence of similar users is proposed to predict the rating. On the basis of exploring the trust relationship between users according to their social information, a listwise learning-to-rank algorithm is proposed to learn an optimal ranking model, which can output the recommendation list more consistent with the user preference. Comprehensive experiments conducted on two public real-world datasets show that our approach not only achieves high recommendation accuracy in relatively short runtime, but also is able to reduce the impact of malicious ratings.

An investigation of Trichoderma biodiversity involving a large-scale environmental gradient was conducted to understand the Trichoderma distribution in China. A total of 3,999 isolates were isolated from forestry, grassland, wetland and agriculture ecosystems, and 50 species were identified based on morphological characteristics and sequence analysis of genetic markers. Trichoderma harzianum showed the largest proportion of isolates and the most extensive distribution. Hypocrea semiorbis, T. epimyces, T. konilangbra, T. piluliferum, T. pleurotum, T. pubescens, T. strictipilis, T. hunua, T. oblongisporum and an unidentified species, Trichoderma sp. MA 3642, were first reported in China. Most Trichoderma species were distributed in Jilin and Heilongjiang Provinces in northeast China and the fewest were distributed in Qinghai Province. Based on the division of ecological and geographic factors, forestry ecosystems and low-altitude regions have the greatest species biodiversity of Trichoderma.
