Land Suitability Assessment System(LSAS) is going ahead nationally at the same time of establishment of "National Law on Land Planning and Use" and with it, in spite of many precedence researches many problems are occurred. These problems were originated from the imperfection of related system, base database and manager education. And their problems are must be solved to achieve the goal of the system that was introduced to prevent the unplanned development.
This study is to present the solution for the problems which are in the Land Suitability Assessment(LSA). Hence, the results as blow are gotten.
The first, the various problems about constructing and managing status of LMIS database are organized application method for LSA are presented. Also, the efficient management method of LMIS database are presented
The second, the cost-saving way, the efficient assessment and the efficient management system of assessment results are presented by development the LSA software which can overcome the limitation of LSA program that is operated under imported GIS software.
The third, with comparison the results between parcel based land suitability assesment and grid based land suitability assesment, no relationship between parcel line and land suitability grad was proved, grid based land suitability is more efficient to represent continuous land suitability grade was verified.
The last, to establish the phase of land suitability assessment and to rise objectivity of assessment result, the early settlement methods are presented and the author reduces the effort for overview of land suitability assessment system by developing the overview item, overview method, and overview software.
