    The aim of this study was to determine any difference in the extent of stress, depression and anxiety of soldiers depending on the leadership style of their senior officers. for this sake, 303 soldiers were asked to join a formulated questionnaire, and the useful data were collected from them for statistical analysis. The results of analysis can be summarized as follows:
    First, in terms of satisfaction at army life depending on the leadership style of senior officers, most respondents revealed higher satisfaction at persuasive leadership than anything else. With regard to the extent of stress, depression and anxiety depending on leadership style of senior officers, most respondents revealed higher extent of stress, depression and anxiety about mandatory leadership than anything else.
    Second, in view of satisfaction at army life depending on rank, it was found that sergeant group showed higher satisfaction at their army life than any other groups, while private 1st class group revealed higher extent of stress and depression than any other groups. Notably, soldiers group showed the highest extent of anxiety about their army life of all groups.
    Third, as a result of analyzing the extent of stress, depression and anxiety depending on the leadership style of senior officers, it was found that private the 1st class group revealed higher extent of stress and depression under the control of participatory leadership than any other groups, while corporal group showed the highest extent of anxiety about such leadership of all groups. In terms of the extent of stress depending on persuasive leadership, private the 1st class group reached the highest extent of stress of all groups, while private group showed higher extent of anxiety about such leadership than any other groups.
    With regard to the extent of stress depending on directive leadership, it was noted that corporal group reached the highest extent of stress of all groups, while private group showed higher extent of depression and anxiety about such leadership than any other groups. In terms of mandatory leadership, private the 1st class group showed higher extent of stress about such leadership than any other groups, while corporal group showed the highest extent of depression and anxiety about such leadership.
    Fourth, this study performed a correlation analysis to determine any possible relationships between the rank and satisfaction of private soldiers and the extent of their stress, depression and anxiety. As a result, it was notable that military rank was in negative correlations with satisfaction at army life, while in positive correlations with the extent of depression and anxiety.
    Fifth, this study also performed another correlation analysis to determine any possible relationships between leadership style, satisfaction at army life and the extent of stress, depression and anxiety. As a result, it was found that military rank has negative correlations with satisfaction at army life, while having positive correlations with the extent of depression and anxiety.
    Based on these results, this study may give the following suggestions for military welfare.
    First, it is indispensable that our army leadership transform their conventional point of views and thinking ways from the root.
    Second, all commands and directions should be based on appropriate leaderships as customized to soldiers of new generation.
    Third, it may not be overlooked that the confidence in positive effects on army has significant influence on the satisfaction of our soldiers at army life and services.
    Fourth, their interpersonal relationships should be satisfied by creating balanced personal relationship in harmony.
    Fifth, it if necessary to prepare institutional instruments that may allow army personnel authorities to help our soldiers choose desired duties with regard to their own major and special skills. Sixthly, it is noteworthy that national viewpoints about our army have been remarkably changed.
    Finally, it is essential and foremost that military welfare policies should be improved or revised appropriately into better and more advanced directions than before.
    Hopefully, this study will help our army authorities well identify any factor of stress, depression and anxiety among soldiers of new generation, and apply the factors to corresponding leadership style of senior officers, so that our soldiers can afford to successfully perform their own duties in army organization.
