Average span of men's life was 52.4 when the retirement system was first introduced in the nation in the 1960s. Assuming that the expected remaining day(span of life) in 2020 when the elderly population would grow over 14% and make a graying society, is 80.7, the employees have to spend 20~25 years in their retirement life, under the current retirement age(55~60 years of age). That is, the better the job satisfaction, job stability, and job stability were, the higher the attitude to retirement was. On the contrary, the higher the job stress was, the lower the attitude was.
Based on the above findings, the author made suggestions as follows.
First, One of the expectedly most problematic matters in the old age life is economic one. It would be desirable to make economic counter plans for the old age life from one's 30's.
Second, Health in old age links to support and economic matter and causes elderly problems. Thus, one should begin physical and mental health management from when healthy, with a health mind for prevention purpose.
Third, It is required to develop retirement preparing education programs and expand the education opportunities, which could practically help one get ready to adapt oneself to the home and the social life after the retirement and establish the old age counter plans.
Fourth, Of the salary men in their 40's to 50's investigated in the study, 81.8% of the surveyed men answered they intended to enter a profession again after retirement. Enterprises and government need to seek for diverse plans to expand job openings for the reemployment applicants after retirement. The middle aged people should acquire necessary any skills for old age reemployment to prepare for retirement.
Fifth, As the average of men's life increased by 15 to 20 years, current seniority order wage system needs to be revised in a direction to gradually reduce wage rate, in order to correct the problems in the uniform retirement system.
