멀티플렉스 영화관의 피난특성을 고려한 피난계획에 관한 연구 = (A) study on the evacuation design of multiplex cinema by considering evacuation distinction

국문 초록 (Abstract)

국민경제 성장과 영화시장 개방의 흐름으로 영화관을 비롯한 문화적 기대심리는 멀티플렉스 영화관의 등장으로 이어지게 된다. 멀티플렉스 영화관은 과거의 영화관과는 다른, 쾌적한 공간과 주변시설과의 연계를 통한 One-Stop Entertainment 를 지향하고 있다. 이용자들의 변화된 욕구를 충족시키고 도시민의 문화공간으로 자리하려는 노력의 결과로 시설환경이 과거에 비해 크게 개선된 것이 사실이지만 상영관의 좌석, 음향, 설비시설 측면의 개선이 주가 되고 있고 과거와 성격이 다른 복잡해진 동선체계는 사용자의 영화관 이용상의 문제 뿐 아니라 비상시 피난에 대한 문제를 예상하게 한다. 가장 큰 요인은 피난규정에서 찾을 수 있겠지만 영화관의 특성상 공간구성이 수익창출에 미치는 영향이 크기 때문에 최소한의 피난규정을 준수할 뿐 피난계획에 대한 문제는 간과하고 있은 실정이다. 따라서 본 연구는 기존 멀티플렉스 영화관의 계획사례를 피난동선의 측면에서 분석하여 불합리한 요소를 찾아내고 이를 개선할 수 있는 방안을 제시하여 향후 멀티플렉스 영화관 피난계획에 기초자료를 제공하는데 그 목적이 있다고 할 수 있다.
이러한 목적에 따라 본 연구는 다음과 같이 진행되었다.
제 2 장에서는 멀티플렉스 영화관의 발생배경과 건축적 의미를 제시하고 현황분석을 통해 사례를 선정하였다. 사례는 서울시내 멀티플렉스 영화관으로 한정하였으며 사례분석을 통해 피난계획의 특성에 따라 유형분류를 실시하여 각 유형이 가지는 유사한 피난계획의 특성을 파악하였다.
제 3 장에서는 국내의 피난규정과 일본, 미국의 피난규정의 특징을 비교·분석하여 국내 피난규정의 취약점을 찾아내고 이를 보완할 수 있는 방안을 제시하였다 또한 화재상황에서 일어날 수 있는 다양한 인간행동패턴을 선례연구를 통해 분석함으로써 피난규정에 적용할 수 있는 요소를 알아보았다.
제 4 장에서는 멀티플렉스 영화관의 유형별 대표적인 사례를 대상으로 사용자 의식조사와 피난시뮬레이션을 실시하였다. 국내 피난규정을 적용하여 실제 계획된 사례를 대상으로 사용자 의식조사와 피난시뮬레이션을 통해서 제 3 장에서 드러난 이론적 내용을 확인해 볼 수 있었으며 멀티플렉스 영화관의 피난계획에 적용 할 수 있는 요소와 피난계획의 방향을 예상할 수 있었다.
위와 같은 과정을 통하여 파악된 연구의 결론은 다음과 같다.
첫째, 피난규정에 있어서 국·내외 피난규정을 비교분석한 결과 건물용도와 규모로써 규정의 적용여부를 결정하는 국내법규는 복합건물의 형태를 많이 취하는 멀티플렉스 영화에서 일률적 적용에 한계가 있다. 복합시설에 대한 세부적인 시설기준과 적용규정에 관한 내용이 정립될 필요가 있다. 특히, 재실자 밀도가 타 건물에 비해 상대적으로 높은 영화관의 특성상 해외의 사례와 같이 용도와 규모 분류에 재실자 특성과 밀도를 적극 반영해야 한다.
둘째, 인간행동패턴을 고려한 피난계획이 되어야 하는 것이다. 건물의 물리적 특성 외에 인간이 화재시에 반응하는 다양한 행동패턴들은 세부적으로 다루어 질 수 있지만 불특정다수가 이용하는 멀티플랙스 영화관에서는 일반적인 행동패턴을 고려하여 피난 규정과 함께 피난계획에 적용할 수 있는 요소라고 판단된다.
셋째, 사용자 의식조사에서 멀티플렉스 영화관 이용자 대부분은 한정된 동선만을 주로 이용하는 이유로 건물구조에 익숙하지 않고 따라서 자신이 평소에 이용하는 입·퇴장 동선이 비상시에 피난동선이 될 수 있다는 생각보다는 피난동선이 별도로 존재한다고 생각하는 경향이 있었다. 피난동선 계획시에 사용자들이 친숙한 경로를 선택하는 점을 상기하여 입·퇴장 동선을 피난동선으로 계획하는 것이 바람직하다고 판단되며 대다수 응답자들이 피난계단의 인지에 어려움을 지적하고 있어 피난계획시 인지가 양호하도록 계획하는 것이 중요한 요소이다.
넷째, 피난 시뮬레이션의 결과로부터 피난계단으로 향하는 통로 중 가까운쪽 통로의 정체가 심하게 나타나고 있음을 확인할 수 있었다. 따라서 상영관내의 통록폭을 일정하게 계획하기 보다 피난계단에 가까운 쪽 통로 폭을 더 넓혀 통로에서의 병목현상을 방지해야 하겠다. 또한 상영관 출구의 위치도 피난계단 방향으로 하며 출구는 피난계단에서 가까운 쪽에 위치시키는 것이 바람직하다고 판단된다. 출구의 폭과 피난계단에 이르는 경로의 크기는 현행 규정보다 강화될 필요가 있고 시뮬레이션 결과로 확인할 수 있었다. 피난계단의 입구는 피난방향에서 바로 통과가 가능하도록 계획하되 불가피한 경우라도 피난인원이 급작스럽게 방향을 전환하는 일이 없도록 피난방향과 일관된 입구계획이 필요하다.
이상과 같이 피난규정, 인간행동패턴, 사용자 의식조사, 피난시뮬레이션을 통해서 멀티플렉스 영화관의 피난동선 특성에 따른 피난계획의 요소를 도출할 수 있었다.
본 연구의 의의는 우리가 가장 쉽게 접할 수 있는 문화공간의 형태인 멀티플렉스 영화관의 피난계획에 관련된 요소를 현행 법규상의 문제점을 제시하고 사용자의 피난에 관련한 의식을 파악하고 시뮬레이션을 통해서 증명해보려 했다는데 있다. 멀티플렉스 영화관이 등장한 역사가 짧은 점은 아직 이 분야의 연구가 활발히 이루어지지 못하고 있는 이유가 되리라 생각한다. 특히, 멀티플렉스 영화관에서 피난동선과 피난계획에 관련된 부분은 전무하다 해도 과언이 아니다. 멀티플렉스 영화관의 다른분야화 함께 피난계획에 관련된 부분도 지속적이고 깊이 있는 연구가 필요하다고 판단된다.
