The purpose of this study was to examine the difference of marital satisfaction according to married women's family differentiation level and separation individuation level. Subjects of this study were 300 marrid women residing in Daegu and Kyeongbuk area. The measurements used were the family differentiation scale. separation individuation scale, Korean marital satisfaction inventory. Data were analyzed using one way ANOVA and Scheffe t-test. Results of the present study were as follows. First, women who showed high differentiation level from their father tended to have less conflicts in current family relations and maintain psychological well being. Second, women who conflicts in current family relations but felt higher psychological distress related to child-rearing pressure. Third, women with high individuation level tended to show higher marrital satisfaction, less conflicts with their original and current family relations, and psychological well - being. Fourth, women with high symbiotic relation level showed more dissatisfaction with their partnership and sharing time with their husband.
