It is a importance time of the education in kindergarten and elementary school which is the basis of every education is much more emphasized. Especially the educational connection between kindergarten and elementary school has a very significant meaning from the viewpoint of children's normal growth, development and educational efficiency. But compared with the importance of connected education. in the spot of education many problems appear, and in spite of the overheat of preschool education the quality of elementary school education will not improve easily. Fortunately, in the fourth kindergarten curriculum and the fifth elementary school low classes curriculum which have been applied since 1989, the mutual connection was taken into a good consideration. But yet studies on connected education are insufficient, and the development of connected education program is extremely poor.
On the basis of such critical mind, this study tried to exactly grasp the teachers' and parents' consciousness to grope for the desirable direction of connected education between kindergarten and elementary school. The investigation was progressed through three stages; preliminary interview inquiry, questionnaire inquiry, and depth interview inquiry.
As a result of the study, it is made clear that it is necessary to make a better connected education between kindergarten and elementary school for the children's whole growth, development and the efficient achievement of schoolwork. But in the spot of education it is true that connected education is not well made. Teachers and parents both pointed out the lack of educational administration authorities' concern and support, the lack of right cognition for infant education, and the educational curriculum that doesn't fit in with reality as the reasons why connected education is not well made.
To accomplish a good connected education between kindergarten and elementary school,
First, the educational curriculum based on connected education should be developed.
Second, individual learning should be practiced by preparing the educational environment to make connected education well and expanding educational materials.
Third, the whole charge teachers of connected education should be secured and reeducation of teaching members of kindergarten and elementary school should be executed.
Fourth, kindergartens should be public educational institutions, and programs for connected education should be developed an spread.
Fifth, private educational institutes should be prohibited from teaching preschool children, and education for parents about connected education should be executed.
