性格特性의 豫測을 위한 四柱命理學에 관한 硏究 = (A)study on sajumyungri for the prediction of the characteristics of personality

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 성격특성의 예측을 위한 사주병리학에 관한 연구이다. 사주명식이 제시하는 성격특성이나 유형이 서양의 성격이론에서와 같이 성격예측의 도구로서의 가능성을 확인하는 것이 연구 목적이다.
현대인들은 조직화된 사회(organized society)에서 조직인(organizational man)으로 살아가고 있다. 개인의 행동은 조직의 목적 달성에 중요한 영향을 미치고, 조직 또한 구성원들에게 물질적, 심리적 측면에서 깊은 영향을 미친다. 이렇게 볼 때 조직행위는 개인의 행동이 이상적으로 결합된 총화라 할 수 있다. 따라서 조직행위의 성과는 개인의 행동여하에 달려있고 개인의 행동을 결정하는 핵심은 곧 개인의 마음(성격)이다. 개인의 행동에 대하여는 외부적 인식이 가능하나, 그들의 마음이나 성격 유형은 비가시적이므로 이에 대한 접근은 쉽지 않다. 따라서 성격에 대한 과학적 접근이나 이론은 많으나 성격특성을 예측하기 위한 효율적인 도구는 부족하다.
본 연구자는 오래 전부터 개인의 성격에 대해 관심을 가지고 사주명리학의 이론을 통하여 그것을 해석하는 실제임상에 종사하였다. 사주명리학은 천명관(天命觀), 즉 '우주정신=인성'이라는 동양의 본체론적 인성론에서부터 시작된다. 사주의 구조(사주명식)를 관찰해보면 사주명식이 자아의 구조를 의미 있는 언어(오행)로 설명하고 있음을 알 수 있다. 또한 사주는 그 자체가 운명이라 하기보다는 운명의 실체를 밝히기 위한 구조적 접근 틀이라 할 수 있다. 사주명리학은 융이 말하는 '완전한 성격이론의 요건'인 구조적, 역학적, 발달적 문제를 그대로 보여주고 있는 것이다.
연구자가 실제 임상에서 사주명식에 의한 성격 유형을 내담자들에게 제시하고 설명하였을 때, 대다수의 사람들이 연구자의 해석내용에 공감하였다. 따라서, 사주에서 제시되는 성격특성이나 유형이 조직행위론에 있어서의 서양의 성격이론이 제시하는 성격특성이나 유형과 서로간에 상관관계가 있을 것이라는 추측을 할 수 있었다. 또한 조직행위에서 중요하게 다루어져야 할 개인의 성격특성을 분석하고 예측할 수 있는 객관적인 틀이 바로 사주명식이라는 확신을 갖게 되었다.
본 연구에서는 사주가 제시하는 대표적 성격유형을 문헌과 연구자의 다년간에 걸친 임상체험을 바탕으로 3가지 측면에서 접근하여 다음과 같이 6가지 유형으로 성격특성을 분류하였다.
첫째, 생일의 천간 오행의 기세가 강한가, 약한가에 따른 '신강형(身强型)'의 성격과 '신약형(身弱型)'의 성격으로 분류하였다.
둘째, 생일의 천간 오행의 외부환경에 대처하는 방향에 따라 외부지향적일 경우는 '외향형(外向型)'의 성격으로, 내부지향적일 경우는 '내향형(內向型)'의 성격으로 분류하였다.
셋째, 생일의 천간 오행이 성취하려는 욕구성향에 따라 질서와 법도의 성향이면 '도리형(道理型)'의 성격으로, 현실적 이익 욕구의 성향이면 '실리형(實利型)'의 성격으로 분류하였다.
이상과 같은 유형을 조작적으로 정의하여 설문지에 의한 방법으로 365명을 조사하였다. 이 설문지에는 피조사자의 음력 생년월일시를 기입하도록 하였다. 연구목적의 달성을 위해 다음과 같은 가설을 설정하고 검증하였다.
가설검증결과는 다음과 같다.
첫째, 자기보고에 의한 성격특성과 사주에 의한 성격특성의 일치도는 매우 높은 수준(73.15%~75.89%)으로 나타났다.
둘째, 사주에 의한 성격특성요인과 서양의 특성이론간에는 유의미한 상관이 있는 것으로 나타났다.
·사주의 신강자, 내재론자, 융의 외향성간에는 유의미한 정의 상관이 있다.
·사주에 의한 외향성과 융의 외향성간에는 유의미한 정의 상관이 있다.
·사주의 도리형과 융의 내향성간에는 유의미한 정의 상관이 있다.
·사주의 실리형과 융의 외향성간에는 유의미한 정의 상관이 있다.
셋째, 사주를 바라보는 관점에 따라서 내재론적 성향과 외재론적 성향의 평균에 유의미한 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다.
위와 같은 결과에 비추어보면 서양의 성격이론에 의한 성격특성과 사주명식에 의한 성격특성은 매우 유사하며 사주명식에 의하여 개인의 성격특성을 예측할 수 있다는 것이 검증되었다.
연구 결과의 시사점은 다음과 같다.
첫째, 사주명식에 의하여 성격특성을 예측할 수 있다.
둘째, 이러한 방법은 조직 구성원들의 성격특성 파악에서 다른 방법보다 효율적이다.
셋째, 향후 인적 자원의 확보와 관리의 도구로서 활용할 수 있는 가치가 인정된다. 사주명식을 전산화하면 객관성과 효율성을 두루 갖춘 성격특성의 이상적 예측도구가 될 수 있다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study was conducted to predict the characteristics of personality with Sajumyungri and to confirm that the personality or type suggested from Saju could be the method for prediction of personality like the occidental theory of personality.
The moderner lives as organizational man in the organized society. Personal behavior has an important effect not only on the attainment of the organization's goal but on organization or organized members systematical behavior of the community is defined as an ideal combination of the personal behaviors. consequently, a result of the systematical behavior depends on the personal behavior and personality is the name of the game which decide a personal action. It is possible for us to recognize personal behavior externally. But, It Is difficult of access into their mind or personality. So that, It is short of the efficient methods for the prediction of the personality although there are lots of scientific approach and theories.
I have been engaged in Sajumyungri work for a long time. Sajumyungri is originated from the view of Providence which means that the spirit of universe is equal to the personality. Saju, literally meaning four pillars, explains the structure of ego with meaningful language as the five elements of fire, water, wood, metal, and earth inherent within the Saju. Moreover, Saju is not destiny itself but the structural frame for clarifying substance of destiny Sajumyungri is to show the structural, dynamic, and developmental problems which are requisites for the perfect theory of the personality reported by C.G. Jung.
When I suggested and explained the types of their personalities to interviewers, the majority of people agreed to my opinions. Therefore, It was supposed that the personalities or types suggested from Saju was correlated to those from the occidental theories of the characteristics. Therefore, I was convinced that Saju was the objective frame with capability of the prediction and analysis of personalities.
A method and contents of the study were on the basis of inspected actual examples and through the various literatures for a long time. I classified the typical characteristics into six classes according to the following three cases: First, according to the spirit of cheon-gan-o-heng(天干五行) in birth, The characteristics was classified two types of 'Sin-gang(身强)'as strong spirit and 'Sin-yak(身弱)' as weak spirit. Secondly, according to the way of meeting the external situation, The characteristics was classified two types of 'Owe-hyang(f#la)' as outgoing and 'Nae-hyang(內向)'as self-communion. Thirdly, according to the propensity of aspiration, The characteristics was classified two types of 'Do-ri(道理)' as the pursuit of the system and regulation and 'Sil-li(寶利)' as the pursuit of practical benefit.
The finding was peformed through 365 persons from different groups of the date and hour of one's birth of lunar calendar who were randomly chosen for this particular purpose of statistical survey. The results were as follows : First, it was concluded that the correlation between the personality by oneself and that by Sa-ju-myung-sik(四柱命式) was very significant(73.15% ~75.89%). Secondly, it was significant correlation between personality by oneself and the occidental theory of personality.
· Sin-gang typed persons, introvert persons and extrovert persons defined by C.G. Jung were significantly correlated each other.
· There was significant correlation between Owe-hyang defined by Saju and extroversion defined by C.G. Jung.
· There was significant correlation between Do-ri defined by Saju and introversion defined by C.G. Jung.
· There was significant correlation between Sil-li defined by Saju and extroversion defined by C.G, Jung.
Thirdly, according to the cognition of Saju, there was the meaningful difference between the average of internals and externals.
For these reason, it was concluded that the personality by Saju was very similar to the occidental theory of personality and could predict personality. Synthetically, the results in this study were as follows: First, Saju could predict the characteristics of personality. Secondly, this method as Saju for understanding members of organization was more efficient than other methods. Finally, it was worth for applying Saju to the method for the management of human resources and should be an ideal objective and efficient method for predicting human personality when it was computed.
