존중의식 함양을 위한 도덕과 교수-학습 자료 개발에 관한 연구 = (A) Study of instructuion-learning material development for improving students' awareness of respect in moral education

국문 초록 (Abstract)

도덕교육은 인간이 스스로의 노력에 의해 옳고 선한 인격을 완성해 나갈 수 있도록 도움을 주는 교육이어야 한다. 도덕교육의 본질은 삶의 주체인 사람을 대상으로 하여 인간으로서 지켜야 할 도리 및 그에 준한 행동 규범, 선악의 표준을 지도하고 훈련시키는 것이며, 한 개인이 도덕적 결정을 내리고 그에 따라 행동하는 능력을 촉진시키는 과정이다. 이 도덕교육의 과정을 통해 인간의 올바른 인격 형성을 기대할 수 있다.
물질만능주의, 인간성 타락 및 상실 등의 심각한 도덕문제가 만연한 오늘날 사회는 우리의 삶을 위태롭게 하고 있다. 개인의 삶에 대한 파괴 뿐 아니라 타인, 사회와 자연에 대한 파괴로까지 확장될 수 있는 심각한 도덕문제는 사람들의 잘못된 삶의 방식과 태도로 인해 파생된 것이다. 만약 자신의 존재를 소중히 여길 줄 알고 다른 사람에 대해서도 자신과 똑같이 소중하게 여길 줄 아는 사람들이라면 삶의 포기나 자살과 같은 극단적인 행동은 취하지 않을 것이며 타인이나 사회에 해를 끼치는 행동도 하지 않을 것이다.
따라서 이런 도덕문제를 해결하기 위해 도덕교육이 자신과 그 자신의 삶을 소중하게 여기며 타인도 똑같이 존중하고 나아가 생명과 환경에 대해서도 존중할 줄 아는, 공동체 안에서 자아실현을 이루기 위해 노력하는 건강한 인간을 길러내는 것을 담당해야 하고, 도덕적 가치인 존중을 가르치는 것을 중요하게 다루어야 한다.
이를 위해 본 연구에서는 중학생의 존중의식 함양을 위해 필요한 존중이란 도덕적 가치의 중요성을 토마스 리코나(Thomas Lickona)의 통합적 인격교육론에서 제시한 것을 기본입장으로 삼아 심리학, 철학, 환경윤리학 등의 학문영역에서 이를 보완할 수 있는 근거를 자세하게 살펴보았다. 그리고 현재 중학교 도덕과에서 존중과 관련된 단원을 분석하고 그 단원에서 사용되고 있는 교수-학습 자료가 학생들의 존중의식 함양에 도움이 되는 적절한 자료인지에 대한 분석을 통해 보다 도움이 될 수 있는 자료 개발의 예시를 제시하였다. 교수-학습 자료는 학생들의 수업 목표 달성에 도움이 되도록 내용과 방법 및 평가를 연결시켜 효과적인 교수-학습 활동이 전개되도록 도와주는 제반자료를 말한다.
중학교 도덕과에서 존중을 다루는 부분은 주로 1학년과 2학년의 교과내용에 포함되어 있었고, 존중이란 직접적인 형태로 표현되거나 존중을 내포하는 다른 덕목으로 나타나 있기도 했다. 주로 교과서와 교사용 지도서에 나와 있는 예화 자료와 참고자료, 함께하기 자료를 중심으로 분석하였다. 그 다음으로 리코나의 존중의 세 가지 형식에 맞추어 존중에 관한 내용을 담고 있는 새로운 교수-학습 자료를 개발하여 수업에 활용하는 방법을 제시하였다.
이 연구는 도덕교과를 통한 존중의 도덕적 가치 활용이 중학생의 존중의식 함양에 도움을 주는 좋은 방법이라고 보았으며 이를 위해 기존의 존중과 관련된 교수-학습 자료가 적절하게 사용되었는지 분석하고 그것을 보완할 수 있는 자료 개발을 제시해 보는 것을 연구의 목적으로 삼았다. 실제 수업에 활용한 뒤 결과를 산출하는 현장연구가 아니기에 새로운 교수-학습 자료의 예시에 대한 효과를 가늠하기 어려우나 존중의 가치를 담고 있는 교수-학습 자료의 효율적인 활용이 중학생의 존중 의식 함양에 도움이 되리라는 기대를 가지고 본 연구에 임했음을 밝히며 앞으로 본 연구의 방향과 같은 더 나은 참신한 연구가 계속 나와 도덕과 교육의 전문성을 살릴 수 있게 되기를 바란다.

Moral education is that makes and helps human build up personality with his own will. An intrinsic attribute of moral education is training about reasons, rules, and principle of good and evil which human have to obey, In other way, it makes individuals be able to make the moral decision. As a result, we can expect right personality of student through moral education.
- Recently, mammonism and degradation of social humanity make our life dangerous. Unfortunately, it can breakdown not only their own life but also others' life, society and nature. This kind of affair comes from someone's wrong way and attitude of life. If they respet themselves and others, they will never breakdown or suicide in their lifetime, and never be harmful to others and society that he belongs to.
Thus, to solve this kind of moral problem, moral education respects human himself, and his life, more the others, life itself, and even environment. And it takes in charge of bringing up the right human to achieve self-realization in community, and focuses on teaching the moral value, a respect.
This thesis examines that the important moral value for junior student's respect consciousness is based on the united personal education the study of Thomas Lickona's integrative personal education, and looks around the authority to compensate it in the field of psychology, philosophy, environment ethics. This thesis analyzes the unit concerning the respect in moral department in junior high school, now and it uses teaching and leaming matenals in that unit. Analysis about proper data to help the student's respect consciousness fostering. it presents improvement method such as date development to help by analyzing and evaluating the teaching-learning matenals suit to help to foster students' respect conciousness. The teaching-learning material connects the contents method and evaluation each to help to achieve learning objectives and helps to develop effective teaching-learning activities.
Teaching-studying thesis links an contents, method to evaluation. It needs to help for student's school target achievement. It says various data to help expansion for effective Teaching-learning thesis activity. In junior student's moral lesson, the important part is in 1st grade and 2nd grade's curriculum, and it expresses directly as a respect, or the other moral influence connoting respect. It mainly analyzes and evaluates with based on a fable for example reference materials, and group work matenals in the textbook and in the teacher's guidance. Next, it discusses improvement method by presenting the examples of new teaching-learning materials according to three forms of Recona's.
This thesis considers the respectable value practical use as the best way to foster junior student's respect will. For that, it analyzes the teaching-learning materials are properly used and proposes the best improvement method to compensate it. This is not a field study report came from physical lesson activities, so that difficult to expect the effect about new teaching-learning matenals. But it can expect to help the junior students respect will fostering with the effective use of the teaching-learning matenals on the respect value. So it's going to be professional for the new coming research field of moral education.
