This study aims to analyze the influences of adolescents' participation in sports activities on their self-expression behaviors and self-control abilities, suggest vision for enhancing their expression abilities and controlling their desires, opinions and ideas which can help them develop sociality and further emphasize the importance of sports activities. To perform this research, it selected total 209 subjects including 108 participants in sports activities as comparative subjects and 101 non-participants in sports activities. It also conducted one-way ANOVA, multiple correlation analysis and multiple regression analysis and consequently the following conclusions are obtained.
First, as a result of analyzing self-expression behaviors depending on adolescents' participation or non-participation in sports activities, there was a significant difference between two groups that participants were higher in three factors of active expression, ethical expression and altruistic expression activities compared to non-participants and passive expression behavior was higher in non-participants.
Second, as a result of analyzing self-control abilities depending on their participation or non-participation in sports activities, participants in sports activities were higher in three factors such as attention, calmness and personal relationship among five self-control ability factors and there was no significant relationship between concentration and norm.
Third, as a result of analyzing influences of degree of their participation in sports activities on their self-expression behaviors, it is found that period of participation affected their self-expression behaviors.
Fourth, as a result of analyzing influences of degree of their participation in sports activities on their self-control abilities, it is found that intensity of participation affected their self-control abilities.
