중학생의 또래상담 활동 실태 및 문제점에 대한 연구 = Study on the actuality of same-age consulting activity and the problems of middle school students

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 또래상담을 운영하고 있는 강원도내 중·고등학교의 또래상담 활동 실태 및 문제점에 대한 연구로 또래상담을 운영하고 계신 교사와 학생들의 의견을 설문지를 통해 알아보고 문제점에 대한 해결방안을 모색해 보고자 하였다.
제1장에서는 또래상담에 대한 연구의 필요성과 연구의 목적, 연구방법 및 연구문제에 대해 논의하였다.
제2장에서는 이론적 배경으로 학교상담의 의미와 우리나라 학교상담 제도의 역사, 학교상담의 필요성, 학교상담의 목적에 대해 기술하였고, 또래상담의 의미와 또래상담의 발달배경, 또래상담의 활동영역, 또래상담 운영의 조건, 또래상담 운영의 과정에 대해 조사하였다.
제3장에서는 강원도내 중·고등학교에서 또래상담을 운영하고 있는 교사와 또래상담활동을 하고 있는 학생들을 대상으로 설문지를 작성하여 현재 운영의 여러 사항에 대해 통계적으로 분석해 보고 교사와 학생들의 의식을 비교해 문제점이 무엇인지 파악해 보았다.
제4장에서는 결론으로 요약과 결론 및 논의로 또래상담이 효율적으로 운영되기 위해서 가장 먼저 선행되어야 할 조건이 교사들은 상담활동에 필요한 공간 및 재원의 충분한 확보라고 대답하였고 학생들의 적극적인 참여를 위한 유인 방안을 마련해야 한다고 생각하고 있는 것으로 분석되었는데 아직도 학교 현장에서 '상담부'는 열악한 시설과 전문적 자질을 갖추기 보다는 과중한 업무를 기피하여 지원하는 교사들로 구성되는 경향이 많다고 생각된다.
특히 또래상담을 운영하는 교사들은 화초를 기르듯 학생들 하나하나에 정성을 기울여야 하기 때문에 주위의 도움을 받을 수 있는 원만한 성격의 소유자가 적당하다고 본다.
둘째, 또래상담의 우선 덕목이 또래들간의 인간관계 개선 및 갈등해소에 있는 만큼 프로그램 운영시 MBTI 등의 검사를 통해 자신의 성격유형 및 소질, 열등기능을 알아보도록 하여 학생들이 중요하다고 생각하고 있는 인성문제에 접근 있도록 해야 된다고 본다.
셋째, 상담시간의 확보가 문제점으로 나타났는데 이 문제를 해결하기 위해 많은 학교에서 인터넷상의 이메일을 통해 또래상담활동을 활발하게 전개하고 있는 것으로 알고 있다. 그러나 일부 또래상담을 운영하고 있는 교사 중에는 가상공간에 사로잡혀 있는 학생들을 위해 이 방법보다는 편지나 사랑의 쪽지 등을 이용하여 이를 해결하는 것으로 조사되었다.
시간확보는 학업위주의 빡빡한 학교일정과 교사들의 업무과중으로 인한 것으로 이를 위해 상담교사에게는 교과시수를 줄여 주고 상담활동을 하는 학생들은 특기적성 교육시간 또는 특활시간을 할애하여 봉사활동을 통한 타인을 섬기는 실천활동을 전개하고 전일제 클럽활동이나 축제시 전문요원을 활용할 수 있는 제도적인 뒤받침을 학교에서도 해주어야 한다.
넷째, 또래상담을 활성화하기 위해서는 청소년 종합상담실, 사회복지 개발원등의 연계와 상담 자원봉사들을 활용하여 다양한 교육을 접할 수 있도록 학부모들의 또래상담에 대한 인식을 고취시킬 수 있는 홍보에도 힘써야 한다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study is about the actuality of same-age consulting activity and the problems in Kangwon province that has been running same-age consulting, and tried to examine the opinions of students and teachers related in same-age consulting through survey and to seek the solution on the problems .
In chapter 1, I discussed about the necessity of study on same-age consulting, study purpose, study method and study subject.
In chapter 2, as rational background, the meaning of school consultation, the history of school consultation system in Korea, the necessity of school consultation, and the purpose of school consultation were described, and the meaning of same-age consulting, the development background of same-age consulting, activity area, condition to operate same-age consulting, and the course of same-age consulting operation were inspected.
In chapter 3, I analyzed statistically several issues in current operation by writing questionnaire objectifying the students who are doing same-age consulting and teachers who are operating same-age consulting in the middle and high schools in Kangwondo, and examined the problems comparing the awareness of teachers and students.
In chapter 4, conclusion, summary, and discussion were suggested. As for the condition that should be prepared first to operate same-age consulting effectively, teachers answered that space and fund should be secured enough for consulting activity, and it was analyzed that they are thinking attracting method should be prepared for active participation of students. However, still it is thought that 'consulting division' in school field has poor facility, and has trend to be consisted with teachers who applies it to avoid overloading work rather than having professional qualification.
Especially, the teachers who operates same-age consulting should take care of the students as raising flower plants, so someone who has amicable character and can get help from others is suitable for it.
Secondly, as the priority virtue of same-age consulting is on the improvement of human relations among the students in same age and solution of troubles, I think it should approach to the human nature that students think highly of by letting them learn about their character type, talent, and inferior function through testing such as MBTI when operating the program.
Thirdly, the security of consulting time appeared as a problem. But as I know, lots of schools are performing same-age consulting activity actively through e-mails on the web to solve this problem. However, it was examined that some teachers who are operating same-age consulting are solving this by using letter or memo with love rather than this for the students who are caught with virtual space.
The problem of securing time for consulting is caused by intense schedule in the school and overloading work of teachers, so to solve this, school should do systemic support for consulting teacher to decrease the number of teaching hours, for students to share the education time for special talent or special activity for the activity to serve others through volunteering work, and to use professional agent in case of full-time club activity or festival.
Forthly, to activate same-age consulting, we should put our efforts on promotion to raise the awareness of parents about same-age consulting to take various education using consulting volunteering work and corporate with youth counseling center and social welfare development office etc.
