무용 전문인력 양성을 위한 대학 무용학과 교과과정 개선방안 = (A) Study on strategy proposal of university dance deparment curriculum for cultivating dance specialists

국문 초록 (Abstract)

모든 학문들이 21세기의 사회적 변화에 대응하고 적응하기 위해서 많은 변화의 움직임이 이루어지고 있듯이 무용교육 역시 미래의 선진화된 교육과정으로 현 시점에서 가장 필요로 하는 무용 전문인력에 중점을 두어 변화해야 할 때이다. 대학내의 무용학과 학생들이 예술가 양성이라는 목표 하에 이론보다 실기에 치중한 교육을 하여 기능이 뛰어난 무용수를 양성하는데 더 많이 기여하고 있고 무용수, 이론가, 안무가, 교육자 등을 동시에 배출하려고 하기 때문에 대학 교육의 전문성을 살리지 못하고 있다. 그리고 대다수의 대학교와 예술대학들은 이를 위한 집중적이고 단계적인 교육을 실시하지 못하고 있는 실정이다.
따라서 본 연구의 목적은 가장 기본적인 행정인 무용교육에 중점을 두어 고등교육기관인 대학 무용학과의 교과과정 현황을 분석함으로써 근시안적이 아니라 장기적이고 다각도적인 시각에서 무용전문인력 양성을 위한 교과과정의 개선 방안을 제시하고, 나아가 무용예술의 양·질적 향상과 사회적 기여도를 위해 구체적인 대안자료로서 활용하는데 그 목적을 두고 있다.
대학 무용학과 교과과정 현황을 분석하기 위해, 국내 11개 대학 무용학과의 교과과정 현황을 분석하였으며 외국의 사례로는 미국의 뉴욕대학교와 영국의 라반센터에서 실시하고 있는 교과과정을 살펴보았다. 그 결과 대부분의 국내 대학 무용학과의 교과과정은 기초실기, 기초이론에 집중하여 한정된 범위에서 교육이 실시되고 있었으며, 무용전문인력 양성을 위한 단계적이고 체계적인 교육이 실시되지 못하고 있었다. 이에 비해 뉴욕대학교 무용학과는 실기수업을 현장에서 경험할 수 있는 프로그램을 학생들에게 제공하고 있었고, 라반 센터 교과과정에는 '무용정책', '예술경영', '특수무용교육', '사회무용'과 같은 다양한 교과목이 개설되어 있었다.
본 연구자는 무용 전문인력 양성을 위해서 대학 무용학과의 교과과정 개선 방안을 교과과정 영역의 다양화에 중점을 두어 구체적으로 제시하였다. 첫째, 타학문과의 연계과정을 확대하는 것이다. 이를 위해 학제간 과정(Interdisciplinary) 제도 도입과 복수전공 제도를 도입한다. 둘째, 인턴쉽제도를 도입한다. 셋째, 각 대학 무용학과별, 대학과 전문기관과의 네트워크를 연결하는 것이다.
무용 전문인력 양성을 위한 대학 무용학과 교과과정 개선 방안을 토대로 그에 따른 기대효과는 첫째, 타학문과의 접목을 통해 학생들에게 다양한 교육을 제공함으로써 학생들의 만족도가 향상될 것이다. 둘째, 교과과정에 인턴쉽 제도를 도입했을 때는 학생들에게 현장학습을 통해 실무적 교육 즉 이론과 실무교육을 병행한 교육으로서 현장에서 효과적인 활동을 기대한다. 셋째, 교과과정에 관한 정보를 대학별 혹은 전문기관과의 네트워크를 구축하여 실시간 다양한 정보를 얻는 것뿐만 아니라 우리의 교육이 국제화·세계화 수준의 전문인력을 양성하고 접근할 수 있을 것이다.
따라서 무용 전문인력 양성을 위해 먼저 대학 교육에서 구체적이고 체계적인 교육이 단계적으로 실시된다면, 진로선택의 폭이 다각도적인 방향으로 확대될 것이며, 나아가 사회적인 기여도 역시 높아질 것이다.
향후, 단기적이며 근시안적이 아니라 장기적이며 국제적인 안목을 가지고 교육체계를 정립시켜야 할 것이며, 정부의 행정적·제도적·재정적 지원이 뒷받침 되어야 할 것이다. 마지막으로 전문 교과목을 가르칠 전문교수인력 확보 또한 시급한 문제일 것이다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study intended to emphasize the needs of fostering dance related experts with advanced educational system which is specialized in the field of dance to successfully correspond with dynamic changes in 21st century. Although many students belongs to dance department in University are provided curriculum focused more time in practical training than theory study to develop high technician in dance, it is relatively not successful to secure specialization of University education in dance education, as University system intended to simultaneously foster various field of experts in dance for example dancer, choreographer, theorist, educator and etc. under the limited source and curriculum regarding dance education.
It is precondition that systemized and specialized education program is necessary to develop dance organization as well as foster dance related experts. However, many of University is not afford to provide systemized and specialized education program to dance students.
The purpose of this study is to present effective curriculum as systemized and specialized education program with long term base in the high level of education organization such as University through analyzing present curriculum of Dance department.
To achieve these purposes, curriculum, status of dance education, books, periodical publication, internet resource and etc. regarding dance education have been selected at random, analyzed and compared.
According to the study analyzing the curriculum of 11 University in Korea and New York University in USA and Laban center in Great Britain, many of University in Korea focused basic practical training and basic theory with limited categories due to the shortages in specialized faculty in dance department even though, some of their curriculum tried to various program.
On the other hand, there are many opportunity to experience with variety of education program in New York University and Laban center.
The following are the suggests of this study :
The more systemized and specialized program the University program has, the more trial to connect with other field of study is recalled to extend its field. To achieve this goal to extend field and secure specialization, we can consider Interdisciplinary system adoption, multi major system induction and internship between University and concerned organization as network systems.
Accordingly, we can estimate following things that students would be satisfied with various extended choices. We can also expect effective activities in the real field of dance by using powerful internship system. Strong relationships as network systems in terms of education will draw our level of education to international standard. Thus, if these kinds of positive change can be available, level of social contribution would be also raised.
Therefore, it is hoped that all the factors involved in dance curriculum would be considered carefully with internationalized long term view point for the future curriculum. It is recommended that specialized organization for dance should be established based on the governmental support of system, finance and administration. In addition, adoption on certificate of dance expert recognition should be carefully considered and selected for considering specialization of dance. Lastly, it is very urgent that securing faculty who can teach at the specialized field of dance is important.
