The purpose of this study is to explore the relationships of kindergarten teachers' attitudes toward integrated education for young children with disabilities and related variables, and to contribute to community integration of young children with disabilities by the activation of integration.
Followings are questions of this study:
1. How are kindergarten teachers' attitudes toward integration education for young children with disabilities?
2. How are the relationships between kindergarten teachers' attitudes toward integration education for young children with disabilities and its related variables?
The objects of this study were 300 kindergarten teachers in Kwangju, Jeollanamdo and Jeollabugdo province, and the questionnaires on the integration by the foundation subject, the teacher's career, the young child's Age, the experience of integration of young child with disabilities, the completion of course connected with special education and the experience of training were used.
This study did the frequency, percentage, t-test, F-tests, and the regression analysis to explore questions of this study.
Findings of this study are followings;
First, the teachers in the private kindergarten were more concerned and active about the young children with disabilities.
Second, the more career for teaching the young children, the more concerned about integration of the young children with disabilities.
Third, the more the parents of students act in concert with integration, the more concerned about the integration.
Fourth, the more affirmatively the normal kindergarten children's parents have a correct understanding of integration, the higher acceptance they have about it.
Fifth, integration has a great effect on the development and behavior of the young children with disabilities.
Based on findings, implications of these findings are discussed for kindergarten teachers, educational policy makers, and parents.
