      The purpose of the study was to investigate the early childhood teachers' perception of music education for young children. For that purpose, the following research questions were posed :
      First, what is early childhood teachers' perception of the goal of music education by the availability of his or her service period, prior experience, academic background, education on childhood music?
      Second, what is early childhood teachers' perception of teachers' roll by the availability of his or her service period, prior experience, academic background, education on childhood music?
      Third, what is the current status of teaching environment of childhood music education by the availability of his or her service period, prior experience, academic background, education on childhood music?
      Forth, what is the current status of education on childhood music education by the availability of his or her service period, prior experience, academic background, education on childhood music?
      Fifth, what is the current status of the evaluation on childhood music education by the availability of his or her service period, prior experience, academic background, education on childhood music?
      The study is based on the questionnaire survey from 166 day-care center and 144 kindergarten teachers. The findings of this study were as below :
      First, the study revealed that teachers replies by full understanding on the goal of childhood music education and the perception on the role of teachers in implementing childhood music education.
      Second, as a result of the survey on the perception and the attitude toward teachers' role of childhood music education, it revealed that teachers have appropriate and right attitude on childhood music education themselves.
      Third, the study revealed that the extent of preparation for education environment for childhood music education was unsatisfactory.
      Forth, the study comprises for classifications: singing, listening, browzing of musical instruments, and music appreciation: In contrast to the listening, browzing of instrument, there's a few variances among education institutions by teachers' time period of service, experience, academic background, and external training after college including other education, singing, music appreciation, there's almost no variance on the alignment to music appreciation among education institutions by teachers' time period of service, experience, academic background.
      Fifth, according to the survey of training assessment on childhood music education, there is almost no variance on the assessment by the time period of service, experience, academic background.
