The thesis is to propose implications for the desirable direction of education regarding sexuality of adolscences and the sexual counseling of adolscences through clarifying factors affecting the consciousness of sexual being of adolscences on the basis of previous a study that adolscences should be considered to be a sexual being for the purpose of settlement and prevention of sexual issue of adolscences . In this thesis, I make an effort to research for a plan possible to help adolscences who are sexual beings to express voluntarily and responsibly their basic desire of sexuality and energy as well as to grow into maturer person by raising reasonable and independent discernment. In order to achieve goals above, I investigated and researched total 556 students who were 1st, 2nd, and 3rd grade of vocational high school and academic high school in Busan. I measured the sense of self, mental growth environment, consciousness of gender, and degree of contact with lecherous things assumed to be factors affecting the consciousness of sexual being of subject of research, and analyzed questionnaire answered regarding factors affecting the consciousness of sexual being. The results are as follows;
In case of level of consciousness of sexual being that adolscences have, they consider the responsibility possible to happen due to sexual activities and the autonomous mutual decision-making right to be the most important, however they think a little low themselves to be subject able to sex. As a result of research, it is clarified that sexual experience of juveniles is the most influential to the consciousness of sexual being. Furthermore, it is cleared up that the sense of self, mental growth environment, consciousness of gender, and degree of contact with lecherous things have a static influence, however mental growth environment has negative affect. Boy students who have traditional fixed sense of role of sex may be high in sexual permission and rate of experience of sex naturally. While individual consciousness controls their behavior generally, it can be construed that in case of juveniles who grew up under a culture distressing and prohibiting sexuality of adolscences , experience of sex, in opposition, plays an important role in forming their consciousness of sexual being.
It is desirable that opportunities of various educations should be given in order that juveniles may have social responsibility and exercise reasonable and autonomous discernment, rather than exclusion of experience of sex of adolscence unconditionally.
In conclusion, we should reach a social consent that considers not sexuality of adolscence to be an object of control but adolscence to be sexual being possible to exercise responsible decision-making right. Furthermore, I think that we can upgrade the level of consciousness of sexual being by overcoming discriminative sexual culture that one sex tries to dominate the other sex and providing various educational programs to establish the value of sex that both sexes are equal. These efforts should be necessary to welfare of adolscence for improvement of quality of life of adolscence as well as settlement and prevention of sexual issue of our adolscence , through recovery of function of home, school, and local community.
