유아미술에 나타난 유아의 성격과 창의성의 관계 = (The) relations of children's personality to the creativity expressed in the children's paintings

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this research was to examine children's personality by analyzing the physical characteristics shown in the children's figure painting, and discover relations with creativity by analyzing the colors and lines that appear in the children's paintings to guide an effective way of art activity for children.
To achieve this purpose, the research questions were the followings:
First, Does the physical characteristics expressed in the children's figure painting have any difference between boys and girls?
Second, Are there any correlation between creativity and physical characteristics expressed in the children's painting?
Third, Does the color and line expressed in the children' s painting have any difference between boys and girls?
Fourth, Are there any relations between the color and line expressed in the children's painting and creativity?
For this research, 60 children consisting 30 boys and 30 girls living in Chon-ju were studied.
Measurement instrument and evaluation method
1. The study of human figure drawing evaluated through one each out of testee drew man and woman's figure into A4, paper, and selected 137 items out of the analysis norms of Oodomo's human figure drawing test 17th part which have a high reliability and validity
2. the creativity test used Chon, Kyoung-won's children total creativity test instrument (K-CCTYC).
Lower variable of this instrument classified and tested with fluency, flexibility, originality, and imagination as the central figure, produced by entrusting to an expert organization.
3. The colors and lines were evaluated from 20-30 pieces of children's free drawings selected out of each person.
The results founde in this study are as follows:
First, within the creativity of children, an original personality was shown to the one that expresses high originality; and boys had more excellent originality than girls.
Second, from the characteristics of the children's figure painting, a child showing powerful variables tended to have rich imagination; on the other hand a child with serious frustration showed decrease of all creative variables.
In other words, a child with positive and confident attitude has excellent originality and creativity but a child with less confidence lowers all the elements of creativity.
Third, differences in color expression expressed in the children's drawing explain that girls using bright and soft colors want free emotional action, and soft sentimental relationship with others. Boys, in the other hand draw well using various colors.
It was also analyzed that children who use stronger colors has a tendency to have lower flexibility.
Fourth, the lines in children's free drawing showed no relation with creativity.
Finally from the result of this research, there was a need for understanding the relations between the characteristics and creativity shown in the children's paintings, and diverse research to effect children's creative mind is necessary,
