초등과학교육에서 레지오 에밀리아 접근법의 효과

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 레지오 에밀리아 접근법을 적용한 초등과학학습이 초등학교 학생들의 자연과 학습에 가져온 정성적인 변화를 분석하는 연구로써 레지오 에밀리아 접근법을 통한 초등과학학습의 개발과 적용은 어떻게 해야하며 이 적용이 학생들의 과학 관련 태도에 미치는 영향과 자연과 수업 과정에 가져온 변화를 중심으로 정성적으로 분석하였다.
이를 위하여 경기도 파주 교육청 관내에 소재하고 있는 J초등학교 6학년 1개 학급을 대상으로 연구를 추진하였다.
연구 절차는 레지오 에밀리아 접근법을 적용한 프로젝트를 개발한 후 예비 투입 단계를 거쳐 프로그램을 수정 보완하였다. 그리고 연구대상을 선정하고 프로그램을 적용한 후, 적용한 결과에 대한 자료 분석 과정을 거쳐서 자연과 학습에 레지오 에밀리아 접근법을 적용한 효과를 정성적으로 분석하였다.
분석한 자료로는 참여관찰일지, 심층 면담지, 학습 결과물에 대한 포트폴리오, 학습일기, 녹음자료, 사진자료를 수집하였으며 각각의 자료를 계획 분석에 의한 주제별 약호와에 의하여 사례를 추출하고 사례에 대한 심층면담을 실시하는 삼각 측정법을 사용하여 결과를 해석하였다.
연구 결과, 레지오 에밀리아 접근법을 적용한 과학학습은 학생들의 호기심, 타인과 본인에 대한 개방적이고 수용적인 이해 능력의 발달을 가지고 왔으며, 비판성, 협동성, 자진성, 끈기성에서 바람직한 신장을 보였다. 또한 학습흥미 유발에 효과가 컸으며, 장래 희망과 학습과의 연관도 깊어졌다. 그리고 주제 해결을 위한 학습 자료 활용이 질적으로나 양적으로 다양하고 많아졌다. 그 이외에도 단계별 학습 시간에 많은 변화 양상을 가지고 왔는데, 특히 수업을 위한 사전 준비단계, 학습결과 정리단계 그리고 차시예고 시간이 전통적 학습보다 매우 길게 소요되었다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study is to analyze the qualitative change of childrens' science learning based on the Reggio Emilia Approaching Way to the project, and the effect of childrens' attitude change concerned with science learning and teaching processes after developed and administered the Reggio Emilia Approaching Way to the project.
Fifteen 6th grade children were comprised for the study from the Paju Primary School, Kyunggi-Do. The researcher developed the teaching programs after a couple of trial teaching and revisions.
The researcher used materials for data analyses such as observation journal, interview questionnaire, portfolio, learning journal, recording matters and picture materials, and then gave interpretations by means of triangle measurement method which enabled giving code number, extrating the cases and implementing deeper interviews for the cases.
The results obtained in the procedures written above are as follows;
First, There were significant development in childrens' understandings on himself and/or herself as well as others in the light of open-minded and acceptance. Also there were significant in childrens' characteristics of criticism, cooperation, voluntary action, and patience.
Second, It showed an increased effect of inducing childrens' interest use of learning materials both qualitatively and quantitatively.
Third, There appeared negative aspect too. In other words, it took considerably longer time than in conventional class for preparing, introducing, prerforming, and consulting about the topic to study in the next class.
