The purpose of this study is to investigate the effects of the children's English communication ability on English immersion program.
The subject of this study will be performed six year children born from March 1996 to February 1997 out of children of D and H kindergartens located in Young-chun.
The instruments for this study is Measures of ability in Pronunciation, Grammar, Vocabulary, Fluency, Comprehension made by Kim in 2000.
MANOVA process of SPSS/PC was applied to the date set to examine difference of English communication ability score between an experimental group and comparative group by English immersion program.
The major research subject is whether English Immersion Program has an effect on children's English communication ability and the under variables (Pronunciation, Grammar, Vocabulary, Fluency, Comprehension).
The major findings are;
1. The English immersion program was found to be effective in children's English pronunciation ability.
2. The English immersion program was found to be effective in children's English grammar ability.
3. The English immersion program was found to be effective in children's English vocabulary ability.
4. The English immersion program was found to be effective in children's English fluency ability.
5. The English immersion program was found to be effective in children's English comprehension ability.
