The purpose of this study is to present the basic data that could contribute to promote job satisfaction values of teachers and to improve educational quality in kindergarten.
The following subjects were created to achieve the purpose of this study.
First, Will job satisfaction values be different according to the variances of teachers (such as educational background, experience, certificate, marital status, age etc.)?
Second, Will job satisfaction values be different according to the variances of the kindergarten (such as form of establishment, rules of running, number of classes, number of children per class etc)?
The objects of this study were 309 teachers working at public kindergartens in Kyoung buk province. The questions in this study, which was developed by Lee, Myung Ju(1984), were modified and supplemented for the conditions of public kindergartens. It contained 42 questions followed by 7 lower variances.
The Mean and Standard Deviation were obtained by the lower variances and questions to execute Multi-variate analysis of variance. Also used Single-variate analysis of variance to find whether teachers' job satisfaction values could be different according to the variances of teachers and kindergartens.
The results of the study are as follows :
1. Regarding job satisfaction value by teachers' variance (educational background, certificate, experience, age etc.), there were statistically significant in each case of the followings.
① educational background and duty
② experience and duty, personal relationship, supervisory method, educational support
③ certificate and duty, payment, social acknowledgment
④ marital status and the volume of work
⑤ age and educational support
2. Regarding job satisfaction value by kindergartens' variance (form of establishment, rules of running, number of classes, number of children per class etc), there were statistically significant in each case of the followings.
① form of establishment and educational support
② number of classes and duty, payment, social acknowledgment, educational support
③ rules of running and the volume of work
④ form of class and educational support
⑤ number of children per class and duty, payment, educational support
