동화를 활용한 통합적 활동이 유아행동발달에 미치는 효과

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 동화를 활용한 통합적 활동이 제6차 유치원 교육과정에 기초한 유아의 행동발달에 미치는 효과를 규명하는데 그 목적을 두고 있다. 연구대상은 부산시 영도구에 소재한 Y유치원의 만5세 유아60명을 대상으로 하고 A집단 30명은 실험집단, B집단 30명은 통제집단으로 하여 통제집단은 동화를 활용한 통합적 활동을 실시하지 않고 실험집단은 동화를 활용한 통합적 활동을 실시하였다. 동화를 활용한 통합적 활동은 동화를 듣고 질문을 구성하여 서로 토론해 보는 활동을 한 후 동화만들기, 동극, 동작활동을 해 보는 활동이며 5주간 총 10회에 걸쳐 실시되었다. 본 연구의 가설을 검증하기 위한 통계처리는 집단별로 평균과 표준편차를 산출한 후 그 차이를 t검증으로 분석하였다.
본 연구의 결과와 논의를 통해 얻어진 결론은 다음과 같다.
첫째, 동화를 활용한 통합적 활동은 유아의 건강 생활 영역의 행동발달증진에 효과가 있다. 건강 생활 하위요인별로 살펴보면 신체를 인식하는 능력과 기본 운동능력이 많이 향상되었다. 따라서 유아교육현장에서 기본운동능력을 포함한 건강 생활의 발달을 위해서도 동화를 활용하여 통합적인 활동을 할 수 있다.
둘째, 동화를 활용한 통합적 활동은 유아의 사회 생활 영역의 행동발달증진에 효과가 있다. 본 활동을 통하여 유아의 기본생활습관과 집단생활에의 참여태도를 포함한 사회생활의 발달이 향상되었다. 따라서 토론을 중심으로 한 동화를 활용한 통합적 활동을 실시하는 것이 바람직하다.
셋째, 동화를 활용한 통합적 활동은 유아의 표현 생활 영역의 행동발달증진에 효과가 있다. 본 활동을 통하여 유아의 자기표현능력 및 감상하는 태도가 길러졌다.
넷째, 동화를 활용한 통합적 활동은 유아의 언어 생활 영역의 행동발달증진에 효과가 있다. 따라서 유아의 듣기, 말하기, 읽기, 쓰기 능력의 발달을 위하여 동화를 활용하여 통합적인 활동을 하는 것이 바람직하다.
다섯째, 동화를 활용한 통합적 활동은 유아의 탐구 생활 영역의 행동발달증진에 효과가 있다. 따라서 유아의 생각하는 능력의 발달을 위하여 동화를 활용하여 통합적인 활동을 할 수 있다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study is to clarify effects of integrative activites by using fairy tales on children's behavioral development based on the 6th curriculm of kindergarten education. For the purpose, the study surveyed 60 children, all five in full age, from Y kindergarten located in Youngdo-gu, Pusan. The subject was divided into experimental and control groups, each consisting of 30 children. The latter group were forced just to hear fairly tales, while the former was provided with integrative activities literature-Based. The integrative activities consisted of listening to fairy tales, forming related questions, discussing the questions, creation of new fairy tales and performing plays and activites based on the new works. The activites were implemented 10 times in total over 5 weeks. Hypotheses made in the study were statistically verified in terms of validity in a way of making a t-test analysis on differences in mean and standard deviation between the two groups.
The result of the study and its dicussion were brought into the following conclusion.
First, Literature-Based integrative activities were effective in promoting children's behavioral development as an aspect of healthy life in part of the younger people. In connection with sub-factors of healthy life, the integrative activities contributed much to improving children's abilities of human body perception and basic exercise. Thus integrative activities utilizing literature are enough worth being applied to the field of infant education seeking the promotion of children's healthy life including their ability of basic exercise.
Second, integrative activities as mentioned above are effective in fostering children's behavioral development belonging to facets of their social life. Threfore, it can be more fruitful to provide the activities with a process of discussion as a main element, eventually for the development of children's social life including their basic habits of life and their attitudes about participation in community life.
Third, the utilization of literature in providing children with integrative activies brings out an effective promotion of behavioral development belonging to aspects of expressive life in part of the younger people.
Fourth, integrative activities utilizing literature have positive effects on driving up children's behavioral development related to their language life. Considering this finding, it would be very desirable that the activies are applied to the development of children's abilities in terms of listening, speaking, reading and writing.
Fifth, integrative activities to which literature are applied have a more effectiveness in developing children's behaviors related to their life of exploration. In this sense, the activities can be seen very useful to upgrade children's capability of thingking.
