가정위탁보호사업의 실태 및 지속성저해요인에 관한 연구

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study is to give active ways of home foster-care in Korea, after grasping the realities of home foster-care in Korea and finding factors to fail to continue bringing up foster-children.
After surveying 97 foster-mothers, some of her were bringing up foster-children at the time and the others had ever brought up foster-children one time even or more, the findings of analyzed and considered the data are as follows.
The findings of analyzed the foster-terms of the foster-children are as follows:
the case of bringing up foster children at the time-the foster term of 1 year-less than 2 years was 36.8% the foster term of less than 1 year and 2 years even or more was each 31.6%.
The case of not bringing up foster children-59.6% of the foster term of 1 year-less than 2 years was stopped, 38.6% of the foster term of 1 year-less than 2 years was stopped. The most important period to decide a long term foster-care of foster children is discovered 1 year-less than 2 years from the study.
For a long time, home foster-care in Korean haven't been activated because of an extended family (a large family) system of traditional blood relationship and in poor housing environments. But now most of homes become nuclear family and housing environments are better reformed. Therefore, it is possible to take care of one foster child or two foster children. In addition, the people have a lot of social community sense and, volunteer for community service and actively take part in helping people with having difficulties.
Therefore, facilities connected to child-care and our government have to try to activate home foster-care. The active ways are as follows.
First, publicity activities on home foster-care have to be continued Second, foster-children and foster homes have to be aided with money or have to be supported material things as much as running expenses.
Third, in process of home foster-care, out-support systems have to organize to cope with problems foster-parents experience.
Fourth, foster homes have to be helped from supporters, therefore try to find supporters, as second volunteers.
