    The purpose of this study was to investigate how the water play activity based on constructivism transformed children's scientific concept and scientific attitude
    The specific question of this study was as follows:
    1. How was constructed and transformed children's scientific concept during the water play activity?
    2. How was transformed children's scientific attitude during the water play activity?
    Four children of one kindergarten in koungsan were selected for the study.
    The age of children who take part in this study was five-year-old. During the observational period the young children are let to take part in transformational activity under the uncontrolled circumstance.
    To collect needed date, the observation of videotapes was conducted in water play activity area during free play. The videotapes were transcribed and analyzed according to the stated research problems.
    The result of this study were summarized as flows;
    First, It was to be desirable that the water play activity based constructivism help the young children make scientific concept actively.
    Second, It was to be desirable that the water play activity based constructivism based constructivism help the young children Built scientific attitude.
    Third, Water is the material which make transformation freely that constructivism need, and a useful material for scientific activity because of It's economical and easy to get in a daily life reason.
    The result this study suggest that the water play activity based on constructivism make the young children conduct scientific activities energetically and help them scientific ability.
