The purpose of this study was to investigate the developmental aspect of organizational commitment and team commitment. In a model proposed for this study, trust, perceived group cohesiveness and job satisfaction were used as antecedents to both commitments while organizational citizenship behavior and in-role behavior were used as consequences for them.
To achieve above mentioned purposes, data were collected by using a set of questionnaires. All items proved to have psychometric properties were used for the study. Collected data were analyzed using SPSS and LISREL 8.30.
Out of 15 hypotheses 9 hypotheses were proved as expected. Particularly, the results of this study showed the importance of antecedents and consequences.
Team commitment, rather than organizational commitment, was proved to have a major role in the model fitting processes. Thus, in-depth analysis and discussion about results of this study were provided.
